KFC at Play Braam (Concept Store) — Restaurant in Gauteng

If you're a Social Media Butterfly like me, you would have seen KFC's Braam Concept store trending. So naturally, I was influenced to visit it. The revamp (interior) is nice and trendy and works for the vibrant young people - especially students - in the Braam area.

I made my order online for collection - this was also my first time time using the KFC App (seamless but...). Our collection was for 12:30 and we picked it up some 30min later, only to WAIT for it. That's unacceptable.

On top of that, they got our order wrong; the one burger was customised, but that wasn't adhered to. The chips?? 😭😭😭😭 The chips in the Crunch Burger Box were not the same as the ones we ordered on the side. How do two packets of chips, coming out of the same store, look and taste so different??? I wanted mash with my box meal, but I got to the store, and they tell they don't have it, so I swapped that for their coleslaw. It was off! 🤢🤢🤢🤢 Back to the "but" on the KFC App, if a store doesn't have a particular food, why isn't the App able to update that so you make changes during your order, BEFORE PAYING???

Definitely won't be going...

KFC Play Braam is not your usual KFC, it’s a full experience. The place looks modern and creative, with bright digital screens, music, and a cool urban vibe that fits perfectly in Braamfontein. The menu is fresh and different, you’ll find items you won’t see at other KFCs, like the Chilli Lime Burger or Cola Dunked Wings, and they actually taste amazing.

Service is quick, and the self-order kiosks make things super easy. It feels like KFC reinvented for a younger, more social crowd a spot where you can grab food, take pics, and just hang out.

Prices are slightly higher than your average KFC, but it’s worth it for the experience. Only downside is that it can get busy, especially on weekends, so finding a seat might be tricky.

My boyfriend greeted someone that he knows before he came to where I was sitting. Then the Security on duty came to him and accused him of asking money from people 🙄. We asked him if it's not allowed to greet people that we know 🤔. The incident happened around 21:00 -21-20 on the 20th of April.Please hire Security that uses proper diligence before accusing people.We can sue for defamation because that's underming someone 🙄. This is really wrong and I know Adam would never allow this in his business. He quickly jumped into conclusion without proper diligence or investigation and my boyfriend wasn't dirty or looking like a beggar.Can you imagine the embarrassment that he caused for us because of this.Please terrain Security to do better,this is not acceptable to anyone. Having this type of Security ain't good...
