I hope this message finds you well. I recently visited your establishment at Mall of the South on 20 November 2024, hoping to enjoy a pleasant breakfast, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations.
Firstly, the waiter who served us lacked a welcoming attitude, which set a disappointing tone for our visit. Additionally, when we requested a glass of water with a slice of lemon, we were informed there was no lemon available. While this was understandable, the response lacked any effort to make the situation more accommodating.
When our drinks were served, they arrived with minimal presentation or care, and no complementary item like a biscuit was included as well it was served cold. Furthermore, when we tried to place our food order, many items we wished to order were out of stock, leaving us frustrated and disappointed.
As a business in the hospitality and entertainment industry, I believe it’s crucial to ensure staff are trained to handle such situations better. Specifically, when certain items are unavailable, it would be helpful if staff could proactively recommend suitable alternatives. This small gesture can make a significant difference in ensuring customers leave with a positive impression.

Read moreToday I was sooo craving for the chicken mayo toast and fries and I pop in at Mall of the south to get it and I was so excited when I got my order cause the service was fast and I was really craving for it.Then boom! The bread is brown and I ordered white okay cool never mind that...The fries are burnt and the serviette is full of the waitress' lip stick (is make up even allowed at restuarants?) I went back and kindly asked them to fix the order though I was a bit disappointed.And they did and I went again... then Againnnnn no salt in the fries nor in the packet by this time my appetite was gone and I was really pissed and disappointed at the same time cause I was really looking forward to digging in and that taste but No! I regret wasting my money and not getting the satisfaction by the time I ate my food my cold🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓🖓 and the lady didn't even bother to apologise...the guys were the ones who offered to assist with the salt and sauce🙁. Read moreMediocre to poor service, with a lovely atmosphere? This is an absolutely stunning mugg n bean in terms of decor and look and feel. Their Americano, just as with other branches are absolutely amazing(One caveat listed below). Various staff however made the experience questionable.
A) staff weren't eager to greet me at the door. B) The waitress swiped more than my bill (She did apologise) C) My order was incorrect, and when I told the lady she "fixed" it without utter a single word, no sorry, no smile, nothing. Must be an ex-home affairs employee with that attitude.
The coffee is unfortunately scalding hot, and the shop itself is very warm, I was sweating like a marathon runner. This after I asked for cold milk? Bet that request was ignored too.
It's by no means a miserable branch, but I won't use them for anything other than take away coffee because of the staff's attitude and lack of focus. Ive seen service far worse than this in my life, but doesn't mean this branch...
