We often visit Simply Asia at Mall of the South. And I wanted to share my experience. Overall, the food was quite good. We ordered two servings of chicken noodles and one serving of prawn. The chicken noodles were flavorful and satisfying, providing a delicious blend of spices and tender chicken. However, unfortunately, there was an issue with the prawn dish.
Regrettably, one of the individuals who consumed the prawn became ill afterward. It's essential to note that foodborne illnesses can occur from various sources and might not necessarily be the restaurant's fault. Nevertheless, when I contacted the store to inform them about the situation, I was disappointed by the manager's response.
The manager displayed a lack of sympathy for the issue, which was disheartening. In such situations, it's crucial for the management to show concern and empathy towards their customers. A more compassionate and understanding approach would have been appreciated, even if the incident was not directly caused by the restaurant.
Despite this unfortunate incident and the manager's response, I must acknowledge that the chicken noodles were enjoyable and well-prepared. It's evident that the restaurant has the potential to provide a positive dining experience. However, improvements in customer service and handling such incidents would greatly enhance the overall impression of the establishment.
I hope that Simply Asia takes this feedback constructively and addresses the concerns raised. With some improvements in customer service and a focus on ensuring food safety, I believe they can provide a more consistent and satisfying experience for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwo ladies who helped on the phone were nothing less of having the worst customer service training. After asking for the first meal for collection order i was told to give her the order number becasue she could not know them off the top of her head with multiple printed menus, probably not even a stone throw away... then to ask for one ingredient to be left out, she could not understand "no bean sprouts" and decided to ignore my request and carry on rudely. Then when asked to repeat the order, leaving out the point of no bean sprouts I asked for the 5th time for it to be excluded. And then Eventually after having placed the order waiting for the amount to be confirmed I hear another lady to tell the one to say "okay bye" and putting the phone down before I could ask for the amount. Then when I phone back they say their system is offline and that I must phone back after 5 minutes again just to confirm the amount of the order id just placed...which I could do myself, but they could not work that out with printed menus within reach. The level of rude I had experienced with the staff at the front was highly disappointing especially considering that it is festive season. I am upset about the matter not due to my order but the way that I was treated as there are multiple people experiencing hardships at this time and to be treated this way is not nice. Having rude Staff can damage the name of the restaurant they work so hard to make enjoyable. Please acknowledge this simply asia managers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy recent visit to Simply Asia at Mall of the South left much to be desired, especially when comparing it to their branch at The Glen Mall, which offers a much better dining experience.
Although the restaurant wasnāt overly busy, we waited an astonishing 35-40 minutes for our starter to arrive. To make matters worse, our waitress was missing for half of our visit, leaving us to be assisted by another staff member. This lack of attentiveness set a frustrating tone for the rest of our meal.
We ordered the chicken and prawn dumplings as a starter, but to our disappointment, they arrived frozen in the middle. This made us question whether the food was made fresh ā and if it wasnāt, why did it take so long to be served?
For my main, I requested my go-to dish, the Thai Spice Ramen. However, the waitress instead brought me the Paloh Five Spice Ramen, and it was a huge letdown. The dish was bland and didnāt remotely compare to the flavors of my favorite ramen.
The only redeeming part of the meal was my husbandās enjoyment of his dish, the popular 514. But given that it's their most common order, it didn't do much to improve the overall experience.
Iām giving the food 2 stars purely because of his satisfaction, but personally, I wonāt be dining at this branch again. Save yourself the trouble and visit The Glen branch instead, where the quality and service are...
