We rode all the way from Rivonia to follow Ivy and husband Lay to enjoy their food, we have been their loyal customers at Zen Garden where they spent their previous 15 years, now breaking out on their own with stunning food at cost effective prices in Nakamor Japanese Restaurant. My favourite is the sticky beef and rice, Ivy corrected me to say it is crispy beef but I stick to my name which is more descriptive, the beef may be crispy but it is drenched in a wonderful sticky sauce which makes it great to flavour the rice. Another dish which is mandatory is the Chinese specialty of golden prawns for which they are famous, although is is a Japanese restaurant, the owners are Chinese so the food is a fusion of Asian delicacies, the bill when presented was laughable for how little it was, so go and enjoy for small money, you shall not be sorry. I might stick to their sushi going forward, as that has been more consistent. I do hope they work on improving the quality and consistency of...
Read moreAs the name suggest that it is a Japanese restaurant, it also caters for the traditional Cantonese cuisine. Been there twice and on both occasions the quality of food and service has been excellent. Well deserved 5 stars. That past Sunday we had an 8 course meal for 16 guests and we paid just on R3000. Please note that we did not order any alcohol so you might have to add on to the bill. The meal we had was soup, 2 prawn dishes, special fried chicken, egg plant hotpot, Mapo Tofu, special chinese sausage rice, veggies. Haven't tried their sushi but the dishes that went out looked good. Great family business, great food and service....
