I had specifically booked a table inside the restaurant for my daughter's 16th birthday Lunch. I had specified for an inside table not in a corner. I was immediately disappointed when we were placed at a table near the bar, right next to a very loud and roudy bunch. A shooter girl in a very short crop top(We were under the impression it's a family restaurant and kids are present) came to our table and was very persistent with trying to get us to buy shooters. After I explained to her, that we were there for my daughter's 16th birthday and we wouldn't be drinking she reluctantly left. My daughter didn't know where to put her eyes and the whole situation made her very uncomfortable. We then wanted a quieter table so we moved to an available (corner) seat at the back of the restaurant right next to a sports field where a game was currently being played. (One of the spectator's weed smoke was blowing into the restaurant right where we were now seated.) Our waiter had to close the door. We ordered our pizzas but they couldn't even give us what we ordered on our pizza, The topping left off was then brought after hubby went to go find our waiter(who was trying his best) and the manager who wasn't very helpful and didn't amend the table booking or the situation. I'm actually furious how we were treated. And the fact that it was my daughter's birthday and her very first time to picalinos.... Not a good impression at all. A sixteenth birthday only comes once! It can't be amended. I feel my daughter's special day was sabotaged. Needless to say, we won't be returning to Picalinos and I won't be recommending this restaurant to any...

The beautifully maintained gardens are a feast for the eyes, complete with a serene fishpond where ducks glide peacefully across the water. Little ones are well catered for with a fantastic play area, making it perfect for family outings.
The food is nothing short of exceptional - their pizzas are masterpieces, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. What sets them apart is their brilliant condiment service: each table gets bottles of both their signature jalapeño sauce and chili sauce, letting you customize your meal to your preferred heat level. Both sauces are incredible and complement the food perfectly.
The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance - scenic and sophisticated yet wonderfully relaxed. You can enjoy a cold beer while taking in the garden views, watch the kids play, or simply soak in the peaceful ambiance. The staff are attentive and welcoming, adding to the warm, inviting vibe.

Read moreI can't even remember how many years it's been since i was last at Picolinos in fourways.
All I know is that it has been totally revamped since my last visit. It has grown so much from this small pizza spot and kiddies playground. It's got so much more open space. Pizza is still their thing. The menu sadly is very limited unless you take pizzas. So for the picky eater it will be a challenge. They also do quiz nights which I am sure would be awesome.
I decided to try their sushi since nothing else really peaked my interest. It wasn't bad, I had the Rock prawn tempura.
Service, our waiter wasnt very attentive, we kept looking for him and hence didn't really order drinks.
The area is surrounded by a hair dresser, cooking school amongst other businesses so it really has a buzz around it.
Give it a try, think we went on a rather slow day. Maybe try the pizzas. 🍕 As it's nice to sit outside and just...
