I regret We went there for my baby shower mimosa brunch on the 1st June, mimosa are served from 14:00 -17:00 bottomless with a meal. We arrive there the place is beautiful 10/10 music nice, beautiful quiet Sunday. Our waiter’s name is Hendry. Hendry’s service is the worst service ever and made our stay unbearable. First, when we got there two of my friends have opened a bill separately, and after two of my sister had open their own bill, so when we joined we requested our own bill Hendry said no he can’t d that we are one table therefore we all have one bill, those are house rules. However when bills were being paid my sister had here own bill and the rest one bill! So we were lied too and it became so difficult to pay as we know combined bills. Secondly, mimosas… we were told they are bottomless for 200 only to find about it was 250 with no meal and 320 with a meal! Completely false advertising. The mimosas were dragging taking time to arrive and the restaurant was empty, Sunday remember… I complained to him and he was not bothered, I told his service is slow and he is not explaining everything clearly to us I.e the price of mimosa. The problem became worse when my friends started rushing their mimosa drinks because they wanted more and he was taking slow, he said you are not allowed to drink that fast and went to report us to the manager, like kids ! Guess what we were punished by the manager and him and no more mimosas came through, that time it is 16:13. We are the manager forgot his name white guy with stinking attitude, he told us you must take 20min per glass!!! And spoke a whole of rubbish that was not disclosed on the advert. He said listen you are not the first clients and not the last! My word that manager so rude. He left our table and we ask Hendry why is he doing this? He continue serving another table and completely ignored us!
My two friends who came early before us requested take ways on their leftover food! Guess what Hendry never heard that so it was thrown away.
His character display was unbelievable unfriendly, not bothered at all together with manager “go and leave if you are not happy “ His shift came to an end with us and him not in good terms and Ofcourse without a tip… we received a second waiter forgot her name! I do not know who was worse Hendry, her or the manager! That girl urgues with you for days, disappears for hours yerrrr! Unbothered “leave if you want attitude. The manager that was better was the gentleman white, with tattoos and the white lady who welcomed us! The other short manager with a cap on and broken white tooth is discussing.
Rocket your place is beautiful however your service and how you explain to clients is a turn off!!! Don’t go to that place for any special occasion or anything, there are lot of other places with good reviews that respect clients!!! Imagine a place that says bottomless mimosas and the next thing you are told to drink your glass for 20min.
That is my experience and I regret...

We were let down by the food we ordered as everything was described so exceptionally but came out as Plain Janes in our opinion. We had the Jalapeño Poppers, which were filled with 3 kinds of cheese and a roasted garlic chipotle mayo, but together tasted like a white sauce. The Chimichurri Tacos were very odd, it must have been a magician preparing them as they were dry and oily all at the same time, the shells were hard and floury but oil was dripping out of them like a ripped open car gasket. Finally, we had the Silence of the Lamb burger, which has a description that would give you full marks on any English essay. Toasted Panini with Tzatziki spread, filled with braised lamb neck, rocket, sweet burnt onion salsa and roasted garlic, served with a jalapeño and tomato fondue. We were mouth watering when we read this, but alas, this too was so oily and we barely tasted all of the described ingredients as all of it was overpowered by the rich lamb.
They serve some the yummiest drinks in glasses big enough that will definitely quench your thirst after a long day. Beers and crafty ones, with wines and champagnes, and cocktails to spin your head off, this is drinkie gem.
There was nothing wrong with the service. Our waiter was a quiet one, sometimes felt like he was whispering, but he was never far off when we needed him. Got our orders and brought it out before we even thought of looking for him. Top notch for a busy evening.
This place truly has a fantastic vibe and atmosphere. The decor and art pieces are really amazing, creative and puts one at ease when entering the building. With good music all night long, this is certainly a great place to kick off your shoes (we didn't try this though) after a long day of work and grabbing a drink with a friend.
My oh my, but this place sure shoots off with its prices. We didn't expect a cheap night out, but R750 for 4 drinks and 2 mains is quite expensive we think. Thank goodness we didn't order dessert as well.
What we will say is that if you are looking for a great spot to grab a few drinks with some good friends then this is definitely a top spot.

Read moreBryanston is not on my door step so I was surprised that I had been to the venue once before for an early evening Christmas Eve meal. I can recall that I enjoyed the meal & that there were plenty of servers on hand. Although we had a trainee his service was the best, not overbearing always available. This time it was with a huge crowd of people to celebrate the life of someone well respected. Definitely an excellent choice of venue for all age group's. The place was buzzing, a lot of energy coming from the large number of serves all ready to happily meet the needs of the guests. I eventually decided that a few seats in the corner were calling to the now tiered feet. Often when attending a large function the food can go flying past with the waiter always serving the same people therefore I was happily surprised when the food started off in our corner which was partly out of view. I don't eat hot food so I was warned about the chicken kebabs, I'm sure they were good for those who enjoy hot/spicy food. I did try the mini chicken preggo which for me was hot - to my limit. The chicken was very good certainly moist & generous with the sauce. My top 3 are: haloumi cheese, & equally as good the calamari & the mini beef burger. I seldom eat red meat however, I can say I would travel to Bryanston for the beef burger. When leaving I found the steps outside a bit steep for me without the assistance of a rail to hang on to. No need to use the rail, there was one of the gentlemen at the door who immediately offered his arm to guide me down the stairs. All in all a 5...
