I would rate 0 if there was an option!!
Absolutely the worst service I've ever experienced from any food establishment — and unfortunately, it's from Roman's Pizza New Market that i regularly buy pizzas from.
We ordered two simple pizzas for delivery — nothing complicated. It has now been over TWO HOURS and going for THREE and still no food. Within that time, I called twice to get an update. The first call was completely useless — no feedback, no explanation. Only after insisting on speaking to the manager on the second call was I told the shocking reason for the delay: They only have ONE delivery driver for the ENTIRE Alberton area. On pay day, no less? The manager has taken my number and ensured me that they will give me an update but she never came back to me. Your website said we will have delivery within 20 mins not almost 3 hours!!
This is beyond poor planning — it's negligence.
Meanwhile, my child has been crying non-stop for the food he was promised, and eventually had to go to bed hungry and in tears because of your shocking service. This isn't just a late pizza — this is an absolute failure in customer care and basic management and logistics.
Head Office, I want you to contact me directly. If this branch is underperforming, I can tell you exactly where the root of the problem lies. This kind of disrespect for customers’ time, money, and expectations is unacceptable!! And i hope you are taking this review seriously.
In most countries, if food is late by even a few minutes, it's made free — here, we wait 2.5 hours and are still expected to pay full price for cold, late food that may or may not even arrive?

Read moreI placed an online order at 6:06pm on Sunday evening through the Romans app - my wife used her details Daniella Carriera, the app kept pushing the delivery time so at first I thought it was an app problem and my wife called the store, they said they were waiting on a driver - this was 7pm at 7:30 pm we called again to be told the pizza was on the way, i stay about 7km max from the store so at 7:45 I called again to be told the driver was close, at 8pm the pizza still had not arrived so we called again to be told the driver had broken down, and it will be delivered soon, now my elderly parents have still not eaten after waiting for pizza for two hours, I eventually spoke to the manager and while on the line, the pizza came, cold and stale, I told the manager this was unacceptable I paid for two fresh pizzas and got cold hard pizza, he said he would sort it out, and I said to call me Monday so we can work something out - No call happened.... Instead of just communicating with us and phoning us to say there was an issue they did nothing to try alleviate the issue.... If they had called me and told me there was no driver I would have gone to collect... instead they kept telling my wife different stories.... communication in this situation would have gone a long way.
