Had the privilege of celebrating besties birthday at Surasang, and it didn't disappoint. We started off with some peach flavoured Soju and Mocktail Strawberry Daiquiris. Both were very delicious! For starters we shared some tteokbokki. It was not spicy at all ( would have preferred to be given a choice of spicy or not) and contained fish cakes and veggies (R149.00). Delicious! It was a good portion for the price and you have an option to add cheese for R40.

We then opted for the set menu in the Korean BBQ option which contained 2 portions of beef (Rib eye), 1 portion of egg bomb, 2 portions of rice, 1 portion of Doenjang Jjigae, Banchan per person (Kimchi, onions, spring onion, sprouts), and 2 portions of desserts ( Vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce). All this for R659. We were soooo full!!!

Staff are friendly and guide you through the BBQ process. They help and show you how to cut and eat what is on offer.

Surprise! The team played a Birthday song and sang Happy Birthday and even brought out a complimentary waffle and ice-cream to share. Wow, they really made it special.

We couldn't finish everything and were offered a takeaway for everything....even the sides.

Really amazing waiters and business run well....

After all the tiktok hype, my wife pressured me into trying out this place. Note I have been to multiple Korean hotpot establishments before so the bar is set quite high based on the ones I have been to already. We were promptly seated and escorted to our table of choice. We proceeded to order drinks which came fast and cold. We then ordered the Korean fried chicken and the dakgangjeong starter (which were both outstanding) and additionally the mains which were 2 portions of the Shabu shabu set as well as the addition of the noodles. I have to say I was underwhelmed with the hot pot and what came with it. It was nothing special or something that would bring me back to this establishment based on previous experiences from other better restaurants. The hot pot came about half full which later led to our noodles catching at the bottom while cooking them. Waiter was attentive but not at the right times.

Overall, and average experience. Would I come back? Most probably just for the Korean fried chicken(Volcano) which was damn tasty. Otherwise it would be...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Surasang Parkhust, a hidden gem serving authentic Korean bbq. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The restaurant's interior was cozy and intimate, with traditional Korean decor that transported us to a different world. The soft lighting and soothing music added to the ambiance, making it perfect for a night out with friends. The bbq experience was truly exceptional. We opted for the signature bbq and hotpot, which was bursting with flavor and K -chicken. The broth was rich, spicy, and aromatic, perfectly complementing the freshest ingredients. Our server Nandi was knowledgeable, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The staff's passion for delivering exceptional service shone through in every interaction. If you're looking for an authentic Korean hotpot experience, Surasang Parkhust is...
