Starbucks Parkhurst — Restaurant in Gauteng

Staff were polite & quick with orders. Had the privilege of meeting 2 amazing, beautiful women (Took a photo as a lifelong memory) So it was a bitter sweet day today as my nephew celebrated his 14th birthday. His younger brother of 4 passed away 05th June 2023. Suhaan wanted to end the day with a visit to Starbucks..literally within walking distance but first time ever for my nephew. Had no idea that cash was not accepted & I had not taken any cards. Approached these two ladies & asked if they could pay with there card & we would give them the cash. Told the ladies that my nephew wanted the cookie & iced tea & seeing it was a bitter sweet day for him I really did not want to cancel the order. The kind lady did not hesitate, paid for nephews order & refused to take the cash saying that his brother may not be with him physically but definitely sent him a blessing (to this my nephew burst into tears) without hesitation both ladies stood up & hugged him tightly reassuring him that his brother is always with him in spirit. I’m very pedantic when it comes to coffee, especially spending R35 + for a cup. I recently came to this Starbucks because they have a signature dark roast. I was so happy, however it’s a hit or a miss every morning when I come here. One day it’s a good strong roast the next; weak. The barrister’s either aren’t experienced enough because how does it change? This morning after a heavy gym session and having a crying baby all night (TMI) I come here for some solitude but turns out to be such an anticlimax 🙈 please just keep it consistent. When the ladies make it I have no issues and I’m not being sexist. The staff are wonderful, don’t get me wrong, customer service is great - It’s just a hit or miss...

Went this morning to use a voucher I got for my birthday. I place 2 separate orders, one for myself (using my own voucher) and another for a friend. The female cashier/barista was so unfriendly. No please or thank you, as if I was putting her out to use the voucher card I received as a gift. It actually made my morning mood from feeling in good spirits...
