The Classic India Restaurant Bedfordview — Restaurant in Gauteng

Had the worst Indian food of my life last night! The restaurant was empty that should have been the 1st sign that this was going to be a bad experience.. but I thought I might give it a try and maybe it was just quiet seening that it was the beginning of January. Second red flag was the bathroom, it was dirty with pee on the toilet seat and what i hoped was water all over the floor. However we ordered starters one starter suppose to be chicken samosas.. but I cannot tell you what samosas we got.. because it was sure as hell not chicken and also had funny green spots on it, smelt like it was dug out of the dumpster. The sauce that was suppose to come with the starters came after we pushed the starters aside. Mains came and it was really not what we expected.. the chicken curry was tough and tasted like metal..like it was made in a old rusty pot, my fiancé had one bite and push it aside. I had a lamb bunny chow which was more sauce than any meat.. the bread was soggy and also had a weird taste to it. We asked for a take away went home and the food went straight to the dustbin. Ordered from this restaurant on Uber eats. What an absolutely awful experience and horrible meal. My boyfriend and i were both utterly disappointed. Not only did they get an order wrong but the food that showed up was not appetizing at all. It was bland and tasted more sweet than anything else, which was shocking seeing as we ordered hot on the app. The food arrived semi cold and the courier had dropped the rice and curry inside the packet. The paneer was like rubber and actually rubbing against our teeth while chewing, so loud that we could hear it over the tv. I’m never one to complain about Indian food but this, this was infuriating. The worst Indian food I have ever tasted in my life!! First they brought burnt samosas 🤬 we ordered prawns that also came over cooked and burned! We had 2 different lamb dishes the lamb was so tough! How I don't know. We ordered mild not even a trace of spice it was bland and sweet the rice in the lamb briyani was so over cooked it was mooshy! When I asked them to cancel the salad I ordered before they made it they said they cannot take it off I paid R640 for food we never even ate just one spoon of disaster. We ended up giving the food to a homeless guy he appreciated. Furthermore we still tipped the waitress as it was not her fault but that chef must be fired!
