Tiger's Milk Irene Village — Restaurant in Gauteng

Went last Saturday for dinner. It was mostly empty . There were a few more people upstairs than in the seated restaurant area where we were sat downstairs and seems all preference was given to the business upstairs. Music was so obnoxiously loud i couldn’t hear the person sitting less then a few cm away from me even with shouting . The waitress missed 2 orders - as she also couldn’t hear I assume . When asked if the music could be lowered she barely made an attempt to humour me and said she would ask management- it actually got louder after that . Service was extremely slow . Drinks took long to come . Dont bother with the Margaritas , they are disappointing . Tables wasn’t cleared inbetween and we struggled to get anyone’s attention as - when they were occasionally downstairs.

Glad I didn’t bother ordering food . Rest of the table said the food was fine . But i definitely won’t be back .

I think they need to figure out if they want to be a party joint or a sit down restaurant as it can’t be both if your service and atmosphere is going to be so bad to one section to accommodate the other . Other tigers milks are better I’d rather travel the extra distance for them or plenty other establishments at Irene itself you would be able to find a good meal at if that’s what...

The GM David was very disappointing, ordered us to move from a table that he booked for other guests! Very unprofessional and throws his staff under the bus! Another waiter attended to us and showed us to a table that held a booking for 19h00 and it was past 19h30 and the table was still empty, so he said please sit down they didn't arrive - and then David shows up at 20h30 with the guests that booked the very same table and threw such a fit - DEMANDING US TO MOVE IMMEDIATELY! We were embarrassed! I mean by now the place is jam packed with the finals about to begin. He does not represent Leadership at all. We invited all our loved one's to come to Tiger's Milk to show our support and this is how WE get treated! Service was horrendous, they put us in a corner table and basically forgot about us. The food took about an hour and a half to get to us, when it came the order was wrong and the calamari was suuuch a small portion. The calamari was poorly flavored and while they offered us a plate of sweet potato fries (that we ordered originally) on the house, the fries were oily and didn't taste good at all. We ordered a coleslaw as well and it was doused in mayonnaise and to top it all of, when we confronted a waiter about the service issues we were met with an unbelievable attitude as though we were being done a favor. I will never visit a Tigers Milk again if this kind of treatment is acceptable. I also work in customer service and I would never treat my own customers in this manner....
