Wimpy — Restaurant in Gauteng

On Saturday, 27 July 2024 We had burgers - cheese burger, cheese and bacon burger and a 'snack' burger for my daughter.

Firstly, my husband complained about his cheese - it looked awful to say the least, but it was changed for him - so, I guess that's okay?

But that's not what I want to complain about. My daughter did not eat her burger - that was taken home and later eaten. When she did eat, she had half of the burger - without the lettuce (that was taken out at the restaurant and for some odd and highly questionable reason, there was a bay leaf in there? - confusing...).

Anyways, she had eaten half of the burger at home. I was going to eat the other half and I don't know what made me open the burger again to see what was inside and to my horror, I find a freaken COCKROACH! A SQUASHED UP ROACH! That was in between the patty and sauce! Now tell me that's not disgusting! Did the patty fall on the floor and your chef just said 'oopsie' and proceeded to serve it to a customer? Because how can one justify a ROACH in a restaurant kitchen that ended up in the food? Huh?! In my daughters damn burger! I am horrified to say the least!

What exactly are your hygiene protocols at this establishment?! None, if I could guess!

I am absolutely disgusted! Sick to my stomach! Never in my life have I ever had a bug, a freaken ROACH in my food. Come on!! Imagine how many more are living in that kitchen! Yuck!

The restaurant it's not the cleanest nor the neatest - I had to ask the waiter to wipe the table, as it seems that it doesn't get wiped after a customer is done eating. So, they just wait until someone complains or asks them to do so? I mean I even had to walk up to one of the waiter's to asks for assistance - and no, it wasn't busy, the waiter's just did not seem to care.

Terrible breakfast experience at Wimpy in Irene village Mall. It was the most horrible experience. I would not recommend going there. It was cold on Saturday morning so we decided to go to Wimpy to have a breakfast. What a disappointment as this is the first Wimpy franchises that we received terrible service. Eunice served us. We ordered the Mzansi breakfast. We asked for crispy bacon. We never got that. The eggs was done. We were served a cold breakfast. The coffee was terribly cold. The presentation was untidy. Terrible attitude. Refused to listen and help. We spoke to a man named , Douglas that walked away as we try to speak to him. We asked for chicken and mayonnaise toasted sandwich. We got a sandwich that was not toasted, distasteful and cold I will take my business elsewhere where I get...

Wow wow wow.... Thank you wimpy ! I have to say after a few friendly visits and excellent food - cooked to perfection , but there is one guy that stands out from the rest of all the friendly staff - The best MANAGER ever ! He is always friendly ,helpfull and takes pride in his workplace ! Always checking the floors ,tables and customers making sure everybody is happy... being a businessman working with managers I've never came across any MANAGER like Gerard .. Thank you and keep it up !! Maybe one day ill come and steal you....😁 I will recommend Wimpy - Irene village mall to anybody go and experience it...
