Disappointing Experience at Yoxi Restaurant, Sunninghill

I recently visited Yoxi Restaurant in Sunninghill for takeout and, unfortunately, left feeling disappointed. I always come here for the sushi, but this time was a letdown and has honestly put me off. The food was overcooked, with dishes that lacked the flavour and quality I was used to. The texture of the meat was tough, and overall, the meal felt underwhelming and bland.

The ambiance and location are usually great, and the staff were friendly, but the food quality didn’t match up this time. It seemed like attention to detail was missing in the kitchen, which really affected the experience, even as takeout.

While the service was decent, I hope the kitchen can improve on the flavours and cooking techniques. There’s potential here, but right now, Yoxi isn’t delivering the taste quality I’d expect. Not sure if I’ll be...

Let me start off by saying what great service we received from the young lady, I'm guessing the owner. She went out of her way to ask us if it was out first time and to please let her know how the flavors and spices turned out. You can see she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about quality, service, and customer satisfaction (not something very common around here...) there was also a selection of yummy Chinese candies and treats available. Our food was on point; so fresh and fragerent, well seasoned and mouth watering. There was also a really nice selection of food, and they even have veggie dumplings and buns-every other Asian place I have been to only offers pork, prawn, and sometimes chicken. I would highly recommend this restaurant not just for the quality of food but for the service. Really really impressed and happy to have a sushi place...
