Moja Café — Restaurant in Gauteng

The food is great! The hostesses are always lovely! The people behind the bar are very professional. The staff that hangs around the entrance are incredibly rude and make comments around if you were dressed up more your food would come quicker when you come collect a take away. Who is dressing up to come get takeout at 11am on a weekday?? But also clothing shouldn’t bar you from getting your takeaway in a timely manner? And how do the door people know why food is taking long in the kitchen? The people in the kitchen can’t see that you didn’t “dress up” to pickup a takeaway? Those door people need to not talk to customers it’s always unprovoked and unprofessional and just very unpleasant. I’d rather go to the sandton location cause there’s no rude door people being inappropriate. Mind you there’s no dress policy for this place and if there was they should refer to the policy clearly and state how it violates it not make comments on oh if you were dressed better your food would come faster...

My friends and I dined in,we bought kota's however the service is so slow as we sat there for more that 30 minutes waiting for our food and the cashier was also rude as when I asked for a sunny side up egg on my kota her response was,the person that makes food doesn't know what sunny side up egg is ,this is not a breakfast restaurant,I just kept quite because I didn't want to talk a lot,and I asked myself who said sunny side up eggs are for breakfast restaurants,since I eat my steak with the same sunny side up egg for supper in restaurants that do not even sell breakfasts .I felt like she was unnecessarily rude and needs to learn to speak to people,even when we had to pay she just gave us an attitude cause we said we will be paying separately.overall the food was nice though the waiting took forever and the waiter...

I had the best experience here yesterday at Moja Cafe. I celebrated my wedding there and Roger provided the best service! We never had to look for him for long and he was bubbly throughout. The entire party was please with his service and the food and drinks, which were sooooo good. Certain meat has less seasonings which was preferred because you can really taste the meat. Honorable mention to the hostess that confirmed our booking and received us yesterday - you really added a special touch to our day yesterday (sorry I didn't catch your name).
