Roman's Pizza Nelspruit — Restaurant in Mbombela

Had the evening all planned out, was going to drop off the kids with Pizza at the grandparents place and go to an event. So we placed an order online and waited the suggested 20 minutes and went to the shop. When I got there the place was busy and my order wasnt ready, so I waited, and waited after a while I went to go check on the order which was still busy... keep in mind the family was waiting in the car, and after 40 minutes I had enough. I told the wife to order pizza somewhere else and have delivered to the grandparents since the plan was for us to bring food with the kids, and our plans were not going to work out. As I got to the counter with multiple other people complaining, one waiting an hour for 1 pizza my order was finally there...

the worst part of it all was when we finally got home, the grandparents ate Pizza the same time we did...which was ordered 20 before that and delivered to their place. I kinda feel like I have always had a love/hate relationship with this Roman's, but for now I think I'm done.

Past review: Decent as far as Roman's Pizzas goes, polite staff and clean, however... This is the only Romans that has to serve a big part of Nelspruit and although they are well staffed and efficient can get VERY busy on popular days like weekends and holidays, so Ordering online is highly recommended.

The biggest issue here is the parking, it is very cramped and limited. So on busy days you'll have to park either in the parking's closer to the shopping complex, or in the dark around the corner at a fishing shop, which leads to my biggest complaint... It's a hub for the homeless, so you regularly get cornered by some or other man/woman with a very sad story about "how they don't normally do this" and have 7 hungry kids, a wife, 2 mother in laws and a South baulgarian whooly rooster and what not, waiting for him/her at a shelter out on the Yaverland road, and you are the only one that can emancipate them! And most of the time you get 'caught with your pants down' (hypothetically) trying to unlock your car whilst balancing 4 pizzas for your own ungrateful savages waiting at home...

I've just been to Roman's pizza outlet sonpark in mbombela and the customer service is 0. I sent my kids to go buy and they came back saying the guy at the counter said I must come place the order myself his not going to take their order cause last time I wanted to cancel my order which was their mistake for overcharging my kids but after I went in to clarify and wanted to cancel the order I was refunded. The same guy today instead of providing a service he sent my kids back to tell me to come and order for myself.Which means even if I go next week unless I personally get out of the car to place an order he won't take an order from my kids, is that what he...

Tip, order ahead and collect your order instead of going into the store and ordering as it is not a 20 minute wait. We went into the store without ordering ahead and ordered 2 large pizza's for dinner. I understand it was a busy Thursday evening before a public holiday and alot of people had ordered ahead and came in to collect. The staff seemed super efficient and were churning the pizza's out like a well oiled machine and there were hundreds of orders. I like how they check every pizza before you collect it, in front of you, ours was lacking onions but I said it wasn't a huge issue.
