Mugg & Bean Waterfall Mall — Restaurant in Rustenburg Local Municipality

Went to Mugg&Bean at Waterfall Mall in Rustenburg. My husband hates going to this branch, he always just has a bad experience at this branch.

He ordered a beer, out of the 2 request he asked for non of them where available (not the first time) he then order a Heineken dumpie, this came to the table hot (also not the first time the beer is hot) now drinking a beer that is hot is absolutely disgusting. We ordered food, his chips was ice cold he had a toasted sandwich, not nice having a cold chip at all. I ordered a butternut and chickpea salad, which was amazing, the only compliment I can give.

My husband wanted a second round of beer but the waiters was nowhere to be found. The 10 waiters at the front door didn't even bother to give attention to us when we called them to order another round of beer for my husband. waiter eventually came he ordered another HOT beer.

I don't even know if there was a manager on duty at this branch because I clearly missed out on that manager....

Mugg&Bean this was a horrible experience and as I said this is not the first time we experience such bad service and food from you. We stay in Sun City so when driving to Rustenburg for a day out and you choose out of 6 restaurants to go to your store and get so dissapointed its really not nice. Mugg & Bean in Waterfall Mall has amazing cofffee. Unfortunately, me and my colleague think twice before ordering our routine coffees from M&B before work. My colleague was carrying the takeaway coffee's in her hands and almost slipped on a tile close to the sliding door. As she regained her balance (she did not fall), she giggled to the lady passing by her (who works for the shop) and said "Oh my goodness, I almost fell". The lady, who turns out, to be the Manager (think her name tag says Mary), looked my colleague straight in the face and told her that she almost fell, because of her weight. My colleague was so shocked she turned around and left. When we asked, on our second morning coffee routine run, the name of the lady to one of the waiters, she laughed and told us that her name is Mary and she is the manager, and in the same breath (still laughing at us), said that, that is just the way Mary is, she does not have a filter before speaking. My colleague felt very disappointed and mind you, she is not a "big" person. And the heels she had on were not high with her uniform. The food is typical quality of any Mugg & Bean, but the service is terrible. No one to greet you at the door. The waiters don't look at their tables, We ordered the bottomless drink and had to get up and go to the bar to get our refill. The waiters don't help eachother, they can see you need help but won't bother asking if you okay. You need to flag them down like you would a Boeing. When they bring the food there are no condiments. You have to put in a special order and wait another 10min.

The floor manager was no where to be found, eventually when I asked the waiter for the manager he came along. When I told him about my disappointment in the service level, he looked straight through me and offered no apology. He just asked if he could get me anything.
