I really enjoy the food at this Zimbabwean restaurant. Pahari offers a very good selection of meat, vegetable and starch dishes. Regarding the latter, they have the widest variety of pap I have ever seen; white maize, sorghum, millet and wheat. Sorghum and millet are my favourite. You can't miss with the beef, chicken and vegetable dishes either. If you order a wide variety of dishes expect to wait about 30 minutes to be served. It's worth it though! I have eaten here at least five times and I will be back!

Really lovely African restaurant in Cape Town near the Woodstock area. Would highly recommend visiting and trying the food out. I would warn that the portions are huge so air on the side of ordering less, trying the foods and adding on if you’d like more. Ordered the peanut and greens, grilled chicken wings with a sauce, and two types of pap. Overall, it was good. The service was amazing and everyone there is so friendly.

Delish! don't miss this little gem if you're Salt River. Laid-back atmosphere with books to browse while you wait on your order. Madam behind the counter was pleasant. It would be wise to call in your order for takeaway and the prices are more than reasonable. I would eat/order from here every day if I lived in the area. Luckily, I was right across the street during my visit.😋 My mouth is watering...

Ordered from Uber Eats. Had the 'pan friend fish' which was basically deep fried, golden BROWN, rock hard and barely anything to eat at all. Might I add it just came by itself. Just a whole brown fish in a styrofoam container. No sides nothing, for 70R !!!!! Also ordered the 'road runner' (chicken stew) which hardly had any taste and the chicken was EXTREMELY tough to the point where I couldn't even swallow it was so chewy. I called them and complained and the lady argued with me telling me I should have known the fish was fried, and that if I wanted softer chicken I should have ordered something else, not road runner. 1. How am I supposed to know Road Runner was 'tough' chicken. And is 'tough' chicken any good anyway? 2. You don't argue with your customer and talk over them while they're talking....

Great food and pricing. Also they have a very wide menu with almost everything always available. Most African restaurants will serve their Pap/ Sadza (regional staple food made from corn meal powder) to you from the microwave, these guys actually cook the Pap per order which is the best way to have it, steaming hot and fresh made. I'd recommend you try their Pap/ Sadza and Mpandawana (Beef Boned Meat cooked with Green Vegetables) You can pay by card, cash or on the very rare occasion by a great 😁 smile. I'm kidding about the last payment option though, a smile may just get you a Cool glass of water. Great place to try though. One of Cape Town's quiet treasures!!! Much love from Matavire Jnr, the...

I don't believe there's a better African food in Cape Town. The food is always fresh and their quality is very consistent. Pricing is very competitive as well and the seating options are inside and outside. With new spacing requirements this type of seating is very ideal. One more thing, generally African restaurants make Pap/ Sadza and store it to be microwaved, Pahari Restaurant does not do that, every plate comes straight out of the pot per order and into your plate. That is attention to detail. You may also want to try their popular Mazowe orange juice while uou wait for your food. In this economy where value for your buck is important, Pahari is one of those "must...
