Col'Cacchio Paardevlei — Restaurant in Somerset West

Not knowing it was a Tuesday which is their night for their winter special, we arrived at 18:15 and within 5 minutes we placed our order for 2 pizzas and a pasta dish. We didn’t order any drinks as we had already had something earlier. At this time there were only three tables which had not received their food and there were some people waiting to be seated. My wife to go and do some shopping whilst I sat and waited. After 25 minutes we were still waiting and no one came to let us know the food was going to take long. After 40 minutes of waiting we called the waiter and asked about our food. He went to the kitchen and told us the pizzas were in the oven. Great. After a further 10 minutes of waiting no food arrived. The table who had been waiting to be seated received their food though their order was placed more than 10 minutes after ours. At 60 minutes of sitting and waiting half of our meal arrived and had to wait a further 5 minutes for the last pizza. We called the manageress and asked what the issue was. Full of excuses and that she did notice we sat there for so long. Absolutely no one came to us to give explanation that our food would take that long. Nevertheless my wife tried a piece of pizza and clearly the base was even properly done and was only a little warm which further indicated the food was just rushed and no proper care given. The toppings was very sparse and not what we were accustomed to when eating at Col’caccios. Extremely disappointed with the food, lack of service, lack of empathy. Definitely not a place to go if...

I went there on Friday night for my anniversary dinner (I've been wanting to try them for a while now)

Honestly our waitress was phenomenal, best service I have received in a very long time, I was very impressed.

And the food, omw AMAZING, from the first bite to the last and even the dessert.

Well done for making it a pleasant evening.. I know it's not everyone's first choice for an anniversary dinner, but I am so glad we did as we would not have received that service or food anywhere else..

Usually I can't eat a lot and I just couldn't stop eating the 🍕 pizza

I'm just sorry I cannot recall the waitresses name as she was honestly beyond excellent, definitely went the extra mile for us ( the lady with really long hair was our waitress )

We went to get pizza for takeaway this Thursday. We placed our order and went to checkers, we fetched our pizzas 20 min later. I had a slice in the car and was very underwhelmed. The pizza was already cold. I ordered the tikka chicken with green yoghurt sauce and coriander. The coriander was so wilted and stringy, one clung to my tongue like a stray hair. What I retrieved from my mouth was not a hair, but a brown piece of coriander. The service and atmosphere was fine, we were politely helped. Food VERY disappointing. Which I find odd seeing as the other reviews on here praise the food. Is it because we opted for a takeaway...
