Mugg & Bean — Restaurant in Somerset West

Had dinner here Friday evening and the waiter that attended to us was rude and arrogant.

She got all the orders wrong and I could have seen this over if not for her attitude and making me feel that I did something wrong. Delivered my dish and explained that an item on the plate was done and she will deliver it later. 10min afterward when I was half way through my plate she arrived at the table informing me that the Kitchen did not have that item available. She did however offer me another option to replace the item. Drink order was wrong two and we were only two people. Had problems connecting to the wi fi and she did not even try to assist but told me this is not our wi fi and there is nothing she can do. I asked her to call the manager and her reply was, "she will not be able to help you either". I called the Manager myself and she without any hesitation assisted me to connect to the wi fi. At the end of service I asked the waiter for a doggy bag and she did not even bother to get back to me. I got up and approached the Manager and when she noticed she shouted at the manager " gee hom n box" totally unprofessional and rude.

The Manager handled everything well and promised to call me the next day. Well I am still waiting for that call.

Its really alright, this place. The waitresses here are the right kind of friendly. You know, the right amount of "are you guys still okay " type questions, that always come your way, whenever you are trying to enjoy your meal and maybe a conversation... Although, I won't go, all giddy and googly-eyed over their food menu, they do specialise in baked products and boy-oh-boy, they won't disappoint you on that front. Same goes for their dessert menu. Just don't go there when your stomach is empty and you want a meal like a rack of ribs or steak and chops, to fill you up. Rather be there to enjoy a muffin, or cake, with a hot beverage.
