Burger King Somerset Mall (Halaal) — Restaurant in Somerset West

The service got 1, only because there is no option for zero. I ordered 2 x 2 whopper meals and wanted 4x4 wings added on. The cashier first said it's not possible, then she called another worker who said it can work, but i have to pay the 1x 2 whopper meals with add-on wings separately from the other one, because the system won't allow the add-ons for both. I agreed and paid for the one. (R195) Then the 2nd cashier left to go home and left it to the first cashier to ring up my 2nd 1x2 whopper meals with add-on wings, but again she couldn't do it. She asked the other workers to come help and nobody could do it. They even called the 2nd cashier on her phone and she told them what to do, but they could still not do it. I then told them to leave the 2nd order. I then had to wait quite a while still as the wings were still cooking. It is unacceptable that the cashiers don't know how to do the add-ons on the system. The restaurant lost out on R195. I spent more than an hour in the restaurant, waiting for them to get my order right on the till. I've been to many Burger Kings. ( My fiancé and I do burger king every Friday) And this was the first time ever where we were asked "Do you need any extras" AFTER we received our order.

Usually my fiancé would be the one to always request extra mayo or tomato sauce but this was the first time we were asked first. This instantly gave me a 5/5 stars perspective or customer service at a BK.

Our order was correct on first try (usually it is wrong or the quantity is held back by like 1 onion rings on a burger) but here it was the fair amount.

I also saw one of the staff members chatting with a parent and her daughter and everyone was laughing and smiling. It gave such an amazing atmosphere.

I wish I lived in Somerset just so I can go to this Burger King every Friday for our tradition.

This was my first experience at the Somerset mall Burger King and I am beyond impressed. They have set the bar very high for all other Burger Kings that I go to from now on.

P.s there is also a place right next to Burger King where you can sit by tables outside and enjoy your meal with a relatively modest...

1stly I drove all the way from Gordonsbay, because, the Somerset Mall branch, is the only Burger King, who is still halaal certified, when we arrived, the cashier who served us, didn't greet, didn't know the specials, couldn't advise me a family meal, when we finally decided to go for the R199, family special, there was no 2ltr Pepsi in stock, they said we could instead have 4 cups, then we offered to pay extra in exchange for milkshakes, they replied we couldn't, when i spoke to the manager on duty, regarding the fact that we couldn't have milkshakes, he said it aint allowed, and wasnt very specific, and that there was no cup holders, he said they ran out a while ago, wasnt very helpful, we had to carry our order out of there with no cup holder, and spilled our cooldrink in the car, because we ordered take away, i did not have enough hands to keep all the cups upright and still drive home. Had to drive all the way back to Gordonsbay with spilled Pepsi on my seats, im very disappointed,in the service...
