My wife ordered a pizza telephonically and told the waiter NO ONIONS
When we collected the pizza it had onions on ,no apology whatsoever “they offered to make a new pizza “ with a 10 minute waiting period very suspicious I told my wife to open the box because I had a feeling they just going to remove the onions and I was right about that
My wife is ALLERGIC to onions yet your waiter told the kitchen just to fix the pizza by removing the onions and this was confirmed while the manager was present!!!!!how ridiculous and unethical ,that is cross contamination if my wife had to eat that pizza she would’ve gotten sick !!!
I then returned the pizza and the manager told me they will make a new one and I said no I want my money back the second time the manager asked me again if they can make me a new pizza I still refused as I wanted my money back only the third time she offered to give my money back and give me a free pizza
The first time the mistake happened it had to be rectified by MAKING a new pizza ,the second time they already had to offer a free pizza and my give my money back unfortunately this was not about a free pizza but poor and shocking service from a food industry who does not care about food safety I wonder what your food safety audits look like !
This is really unprofessional, unethical, disgusting and shocking that your kitchen staff don’t understand the risk of cross contamination...
Read moreWent to Panarottis in Somerset Mall for lunch today . There were five of us - all pensioners. We had all eaten at Panarottis previously, choosing from the main menu. But this time we all decided to order the Pensioners special for a change ! We tried different dishes including the Alfredo Pasta and Chicken Schnitzel - which we all enjoyed - and washed down with the included complimentary glass of red vino! To finish off, we had Ice Cream and chocolate sauce. This was the first time we had tried the Pensioners Special - and I must say we were all delighted with it . The helpings were quite sufficient - and bearing in mind that there was a desert and glass of wine served for less than R90.00, we felt it was excellent value . Our waitress gave us a nice smile and friendly service. The only shortcoming is that there are no toilet facilities in the restaurant itself..... although there are public toilets fairly close by . A special benefit is that the restaurant is directly next to the number four entrance - so it is easily accessed by anyone using a wheelchair . Not so many nice eateries are that...
Read moreI do not even think this is this particular restaurant's fault as it's a franchise, but I have, like most South Africans, eaten a lot of Panarottis in my life. We ordered it again recently for the first time in a few years and it was some of the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Drenched in olive oil, to the extent that it was unpleasant and hard to eat. The dough has also changed compared to the past, into a chewier base that is less traditional and more in the Dominos-esque fast food pizza direction.
Perhaps we were unlucky, but I have to say it was not a pleasant eat. When the pizza is so drenched in oil that it sticks to the box in the middle it isn't a great sign. Perhaps take-aways are to blame. But either way, I haven't experienced a similar issue at any other pizza place. Just strange.
I don't see anyone mentioning this here, so maybe it isn't representative of overall quality, but I won't...
