Dear Kauai You guys are my favorite food shop and I love supporting you.... I just have one little issue to ask someone somewhere to please raise with your top management and that is that our planet needs Kauai to please stop providing customers with single use plastic knives and forks that are wrapped in yet more plastic, on take away orders. This is merely adding to the aleeady immense pollution problems. Please make the switch to wooden spoons, knives or forks like Woolworths has done. I was in Kauai today, I asked for a salad take away and I specifically stated that I did not want a plastic knife and fork twice at the till. Come my order and what do I find in the paper bag? A plastic knife and a plastic fork, both individually wrapped in more plastic. I gave them both back, but come on guys! Please stop with this planet pollution. I know Kauai can do beter. Selling healthy foods with single use plastic knives and forks that pollutes the planet is killing both our planet and your otherwise good image. Please make the switch away from plastic eating utensils. It is in all our best...
Read moreLoooooved the freshness of the food! Such a treat to be able to make a healthy choice, instead of being bowled over by unhealthy food options all the time. Why on earth are there not more take-away restaurants and sit-down restaurants offering healthy food options???? The food revolution is here....if you dont start putting healthier eating options on your menu's ( like Kauai)....you are going to be left behind. Moving forward the "people's" choice is going to be healthier choices and less junk food. I really wish Kauai could get into Woolies as a "restaurant food chain" option, just imagine...it would be a perfect marriage ( good quality products, with good quality food to sit down and eat)....keep up the good food options guys. I certainly hope you take the lead in better food options for our younger generations. Maybe adopt some of the Paleo and Mediterranean type food options as well ( just a thought), as just about every other person is being diagnosed with excessive inflammatory problems...it would draw an even larger client base. I certainly enjoyed my...

This review is not about the food. (Which was good)
Was sitting in the store today next to two managers, a man and woman. They were calling out staff to "inspect" their clothing and make then sign for new Kauai clothes for work.
I am surprised that managers feel no shame to speak to their staff like children when their clothing is not correct, and directly in front of customers as well. Employees are also people and making them turn around and show you their clothes so you can inspect them in public doesn't sit well with me.
Is a shame that workers have to pay for their own work apparel including hats and bandannas and that corporate forces their employees to use Kauai branded merchandise that they must pay for themselves.
When a worker asked if she could purchase the "correct" black pants at the end of the month because she didnt have the money, the managers response , "Either you get new pants in your lunch break or you will get a warning"
Don't usually write reviews but just think KAUAI...
