Arizona Spur — Restaurant in Stellenbosch Local Municipality

Pity that I have to write this terrible review about Spur I will never go back to Spur again I felt so discriminated just because am black this people are so racist on the 4th of July it was my daughter's birthday I decided to take her so lowa Spur to do something different it was her birthday ..we usually go to Arizona spur in stellenbosch but this time I decided to do something different for her since it was her birthday so we decided to go to lowa Spur that where we went to celebrate the birthday I had about 14 vouchers under my name the reason I have so many vouchers its because I give my card to my family members friends and colleagues everytime when there go out I usually go to Spur 3 times a week or 2 times it depends on my budget that time to make the long story short I was called by a Manager from Arizona spur accusing me of fraud just because of so many vouchers under my name ..firstly I was denied to claim all my vouchers at lowa Spur now the management from Arizona..I felt so discriminated just because am black I don't deserve to have money to go out is that how you guys treat customers by asking them for their bank statements as if am the criminal I stole something that my personal information I will never ever recommend spur to anyone cause their accuse people for fraud if it was a white person their would never call the customer and ask such personal questions am very disappointed my kids...

Service was horrible, I had to constantly go looking for the waitress in the very small Spur.

We go to Spur almost weekly, and as Spur card holders, we always get our kids drinks for free. Sometimes we have meals, sometimes we don't. But most of the time, we order big plates of chips to share for the kids, which is what we did at this Spur.

I went to Spur with a budget in mind, because we didn't have much to spend that day, and the receptionist informed me that the kids drinks aren't free unless they have a meal each. This has never been the case, wherever we have been, we faithfully get the drinks for free. Like I said, we almost go weekly for our kids sake as we homeschool. And we do get chips and I pay for my drink.

I explained the above to her, but she was headstrong and determined we pay the full price.

With the service so terrible and after a back and forth with the receptionist, we definitely won't go back.

The Spur in Paarl mall is ALWAYS...

I’m not South African and have only been here a few months touring, but today I had my very first Spur experience in Stellenbosch. At first, things didn’t go so well I waited for over 30 minutes without being attended to, even raising my hand a few times. I almost gave up and left. When I mentioned it to a lady on my way out, she kindly offered to take my order. What truly moved me was what happened next. A lady I believe was the manager came to me personally, apologized sincerely, and even offered me a complimentary drink. I accepted water, and her warmth, together with the kindness of the two ladies who served me afterwards, completely turned my experience around. And then came the food-absolutely amazing. Having tried other restaurants in my short time here, I can honestly say Spur’s food was both satisfying and comforting. It felt like a little piece of home away from home.
