My family and I recently ordered takeaway from Punjab Restaurant in Stellenbosch, and we were absolutely blown away by the incredible quality and flavour of the food. It was, without exaggeration, a truly magical, delicious, and divine culinary experience!

We ordered a wonderful selection to share: Samoosas: Perfectly crisp and flavourful starters. Naan Bread: Soft, warm, and the ideal accompaniment. Basmati Rice: Fragrant and cooked to perfection. Chicken Korma: Wonderfully creamy, mild, and rich – absolutely divine. Rogan Josh: Beautifully spiced with tender meat, a true delight. Lamb Biryani: A standout dish, aromatic and packed with flavour. Sambals & Raita: Fresh, cooling, and the perfect counterpoint to the richer dishes.

Every single dish was exceptional. The ingredients tasted fresh, the spices were balanced beautifully, and the care put into the preparation was evident in every bite. Even as a takeaway meal, the quality was outstanding, making for a truly memorable family dinner at home.

Although I love Indian food, have never eaten at an Indian restaurant before, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I decided to head to Punjab. Yet somehow, all my expectations were beyond exceeded. My friend and I sat down, ordered some water, but then an emergency came up and we had to leave for 40mins. When we came back, they had reserved our table for us - now that is good service! The food was freshly prepared, properly spicy, beautifully presented, with home made naan and rotis. The server was just lovely, interactive, and seemed to love his job. The manager was also on site and greeted us with a smile. Although I thought the portions were small, looks were deceiving, and I couldn't finish my food! Although the menu is currently still limited as it is a new restaurant, it has plenty of vegan and vegetarian...
