Dear Sirocco Cafe Management,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the appalling service I experienced at your establishment recently. My visit to Sirocco Cafe left me utterly disheartened, and I feel compelled to share my unfortunate experience in the hope that necessary improvements will be made.

Upon arriving at your restaurant, my party and I noticed the sign "wait to be seated" and patiently waited for assistance. To our surprise, numerous waiters walked past us without acknowledging our presence or offering any assistance. After what felt like an eternity, we managed to grab the attention of a waiter who blatantly ignored our presence and carried on with their duties.

Another waiter finally noticed us and directed us to "sit anywhere." We found the only available single table, which had a reserve sign on it, but since we were told to sit anywhere, we assumed it was acceptable. We settled down and patiently waited for service. Unfortunately, no one came to assist us for approximately 20 minutes. It was disheartening to witness the lack of attention and care towards customers.

Finally, a waitress approached us and inquired if we were the individuals who had reserved the table. When we explained that another waiter had instructed us to sit anywhere, she informed us that she would need to consult her supervisor regarding our seating arrangement. Strangely, she had menus in her hand but failed to provide them to us promptly.

We patiently waited for her return, hoping for some semblance of service. However, our hopes were dashed as we sat there, ignored and forgotten, for an additional 10 minutes. Frustrated and disappointed, we made the decision to leave, vowing never to return to Sirocco Cafe and warning others about the abysmal experience we encountered.

I must admit that I should have paid more attention to the previous reviews I came across before visiting your establishment. They were accurate in describing the poor service, lack of hospitality from staff, and the alarming number of patrons who leave without receiving their food. It is inconceivable that as an owner, you would allow money to walk out the door due to such abysmal service.

I can confidently say that Sirocco Cafe offers the worst service in Cape Town, hands down. I implore you to do better. It is disheartening to witness such a lack of professionalism and care for customers, which ultimately tarnishes your reputation.

This restaurant serves superb food and cocktails. It wins hands down for comfort and an all round good time. If you have come all the way to Kalk Bay, I definitely recommend Sirocco Cafe for an amazing dining experience. They make their own pizza bases and have gluten free pizza bases too. I highly recommend their take on a vegetarian pizza which has mushroom, goats cheese, roasted garlic and truffle oil. The flavours are well balanced and delicious. If you want a meat option, the pulled pork pizza is recommended. They have a DJ that plays a fantastic vinyl set to add to the mood. The menu is simple with good pizza selections ribs, salad, fish and chips, a little pasta option and grilled chicken wraps. SUSHI is also on offer and its the freshest sushi in Kalk Bay. The staff are incredible. They are friendly, professional and a pure pleasure. There is a little deli/store section too which sells a small selection of organic veg and herbs, and basic 'corner shop' supplies. Another highlight is that they are open for breakfast too.
