2022 Well we came back after a while for supper, dissapointing that what was served was not what was advertised, especially for the fish of the day, not even the waiters knew about a change on the menu, pretty pathetic, unprofessional, unacceptable and I would even qualify this as fraud as I pay for what I order and get something different...the owner should be ashamed as I do remember that this already happened in the past and you would think that the owner would have learned from that incident...Anyway the desert was great as usual but we will not return for some time... If I was persistent I would even demand for a refund... 2021 I always look for the quality of the products, mastery of flavors and cooking techniques, value for money, setting, service and consistency between visits. The most difficult part is to decide impartially, fairly and honestly review which is very difficult as we all have different taste buds, styles and expectations; Therefore my reviews are based on my “Papilles” and experience. Wow, wow, wow... Exceptional breakfast combinations... This is great stop for either dinner or breakfast...Well done! Consistently great culinary experience... Cozy romantic ambiance, good welcome and great service...Great fish recipes, pity C-19 is impacting on their Sole...

After being turned away the previous evening due to the restaurant being fully booked, I popped in the next morning to ask about availability. A staff member assured me that while they were fully booked, we would definitely get a table if we arrived after 8 pm—no reservation required. Given that we had small children with us, we wouldn’t have taken this chance unless we were certain.

To be extra cautious, I stopped by again at 7:30 pm, especially since loadshedding was starting at 8 pm. Another waiter confirmed there was no issue, took my number, and even said he’d call if a table opened up earlier.

However, when we arrived at 8 pm as planned, a different staff member—who seemed to be the owner or manager—flatly told us they could not accommodate us. He claimed they had only ever said they might be able to help, which was absolutely not the case. Not only did he make no effort to resolve the situation (despite a vacant table being available), but his manner was abrupt and dismissive. There was no hospitality, no warmth, and certainly no attempt to acknowledge the inconvenience caused.

This is clearly a busy and popular restaurant, but if you’re looking for a place that values customer service and honors its word,...

We were excited to come here because of all the stellar reviews, but we were horribly disappointed. We waited 45 minutes for our food. We ordered a Thai seafood salad listed to contain shrimp, calamari, and line fish. We found nothing in the salad resembling any of those things except for the one lonely prawn on the side. There were certainly no shrimps or line fish. There were blocks of something disgusting in there. I'm not sure if that was supposed to be calamari, but it tasted awful. The garlic and Pecorino foccaccia was dry and tasteless. We couldn't eat more than a slice. There wasn't even a hint of salt on it, and we couldn't taste garlic at all. The prawn tempura was okay, but when you're digging into your garnish because the food is that bad, you know you have a problem. The tomato and rocket were the only edible things in there besides the tempura.

We enjoyed the dessert. We took two takeout coffees with us. They put sugar in the cup that was supposed to have no sugar and none in the one that was. So we had to throw it away. We won't be back.

The service was spiritless. Guys, if you want a great restaurant, be nicer to your staff. Make them feel they belong...
