You will NOT find fried hake to be more tender, fresh and succulent than here. My wife had the Hake & Calamari while I ordered the Three Game Medallion and was served three succulent medallions of Impala, Kudu & Warthog. Thrse were grilled to perfection and served with a tossed salad and lovely, crispy fried potato chips.
The atmosphere at Harbourview is lad back, rustic, in a romantic setting, overlooking the yacht moorings.
Harbourview is an old friend, one we can introduce to the Royalty without reservation. They lack little and offer much. It is more important having food in a friendly, homely setting than have food laid out on a plate by a feng shui designer.
Peacock's gourmet coffee and a selection of cake or home baked desserts. We had Apple Crumble and Malva Pudding. We shared, of course, but the Malva Pudding has my vote.
Our meal was priced reasonably and we will be back, bringing our friends & family with us.

Read moreAwful experience. Although initially they made space for us, had to wait over an hour for food. When the food arrived "ostrich burger" chips were from two different batches one under cooked and cold the other drenched in oil. The ostrich burger was small a dab of sauce in a bun. Presentation and service is below 1 star. In addition to this it all seem rather chaotic as tour groups had arrived and the drivers were constantly distracting the staff. Today Iam feeling rather poorly too with an upset stomach. Food was left out in the kitchen for over 20mins getting cold. I do not often write reviews but this experience was shambolic. Lacking management guidance and basic catering skills. I wish I would have taken a photo to share. I belive this is the worst meal I've every had from all the destinations I've travelled and that says something. A beautiful location but sadly let...
Read moreI was there on Saturday 17th Feb. As I walked in I asked if there was apple crumble available, yes. I was shown to a table waited at least 15 mins before a waiter took my order, apple crumble and Cafe latte. After another 15 mins, the coffee arrived and I asked for sugar. Sure, but none arrived, so went to find some myself@ Eventually the crumble arrived, without the ice cream and after asking was told it was on its way., probably 10mins layer. My simple order took at least an hour and a half. I shared my table with some tourists and they queried their bill. One had a draft Castle beer and was charged R70.00 for a Bonecrusher! Also their bill which came to about R600.00 had a gratuity of R88.00 added to it.i thought this was exorbitant. All in all the experience was not great and even though I am a local, I doubt that I will frequent or recommend this...
