This was the best place I had eaten since visiting CapeTown. A group of us went there for lunch, and everyone was delighted with their food. We ordered two specials (kudu loin and kingclip) Ahi tuna tartare, oysters, the prawns and the halloumi burger. The tuna tartare with avocado and sesame oil surprised me it was so good. The oysters were so fat and thick that we barely finished 6 of them. The halloumi burger was described as “the best meal I’ve had…I will dream about that burger” by our vegetarian of the group. The kingklip special was flavorful and spicy. The kudu loin was tender and served with polenta cakes that were mind blowing (truffle with cheese and the right amount of salt). I wanted more polenta cakes, but overall the dish was top notch. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. He immediately had wine pairing suggestions for each of our dishes as soon as we asked…and they were spot on. Highly recommend!

What a magical evening. Thank you! Spending New Years Day at Saveur was a highlight. Not only did we have that gorgeous sunset view overlooking the harbor but some of the yummiest food I've had in Cape Town recently. We started with the ridiculously fresh oysters, which were excellent and then I moved onto the Cajun chicken burger. I still can't keep my mind off that goat cheese mousse. The combination, while surprising, was just so inventive and I'm 100% returning just for that. My friend had the chicken salad with your miso dressing, which was delicious. We finished the evening with the Sticky date pudding and I'm sorry I offered to share. Again, that's another reason I'll be returning to the Deep South. Such friendly, efficient service, gorgeous view, inventive menu - what a find! Thanks all for a delightful start to the new year.

ENG: surprisingly bad. They offer 50% off on steak on Tuesday. The price tag is 25% higher on which they then count the 50%, tricky. I ordered a Rip Eye, it had no fat eye but a rind, which a Rip Eye does not have. Furthermore that piece of meat had lots of tendons. My wife had a 7oz filet which was just tiny and obviously by far not even close to 7oz. I asked the waiter, he just smiled and insisted several times that it would be a Rip Eye and the filet is 7oz! He did not come back for asking about drinks or quality. Really strange idea of meat, quality and service. I just called a colleague of mine about this restaurant, he had scrambled egg on croissant yesterday morning and suffered nausea throughout the day.

Saveur Restaurant is an absolute gem! The stunning views of the ocean and mountains provided a breathtaking backdrop to an unforgettable dining experience. We indulged in the Catch of the Day, a pan seared Yellowtail on a bed of mushrooms, julienne carrots, peas, and corn in a miso, ginger, and coconut broth. Every bite was a delight. The Hake Calamari Combo, chili poppers, and oysters were incredibly fresh and delicious, leaving us completely satisfied. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding, which was rich yet perfectly balanced, a truly indulgent treat. The service was hospitable and kind, making us feel right at home. We left Saveur feeling incredibly happy and eager to return. Highly recommended!

We had some time to waste and were quite hungry. We went to one restaurant but they didn't really cater for kids so moved on to Saveur. It's decor is very basic cannot understand the fine dining comments. The menu had a good choice...not your normal meals. My son was very impressed with his humongous looking burger and enjoyed the chocolate milkshakes... He had two... My salmon, avo salad was great, no complaints there and my partner enjoyed his pork belly. The prices are reasonable but not something we can afford every day. We sat inside and enjoyed the view from the window. We got a warm welcome and the service was good. We will visit again during the week as they have daily specials.
