Tldr: good selection of vegan choices, portions are half of normal size, bad service.
Pros: Vegan food selection Cons: Service, portions, hygiene
Really confliction spot. On one hand, they offer almost 2 full pages of vegan choices, if we included everything, all clearly labelled on their menu. There are also two vegan naans, the garlic and butter garlic one(made with vegan butter), that are not written as vegan on the menu.
We took 4 dishes, 2 garlic naans and 2 basmati rice. First we got served was also the best. It was the veggie seekh kebab, it was a nice sized portion and quite good tasting. Would have preferred to get it along with the other main dishes, and not as a starter.
The two curries we ordered were the Aloo Gobhi and Chana Palak, along with basmati rice and garlic naans. While the curries tasted great, the portions were quite small, especially for the price compared to other places we ate in Korea. The basmati rice was ok, and I've had frozen ready naans that tasted better.
We ended up ordering another Dal Palak and another serving of rice and naans, because due to the small portions, we were still hungry. Sadly the last curry was disappointing in flavour too, and we regretted getting it.
Tables were kind of sticky, and the the waiter seemed to care more about watching videos on the laptop than serving us. He just dropped the plates and cutlery on us, not even bother to make the table. Getting his attention every time was an effort, made worse by the fact we were the only ones in the restaurant.
At the start we were very confused why this place was empty, but the longer we stayed, the clearer it became that it's the combination of bad service and expensive price...
Read moreI visited Bollywood Hookah after hearing positive recommendations about their hookah and Indian cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the expectations.
I ordered food based on the staff’s recommendation, but I wasn’t informed that the portion size was more suitable for two people. The way it was described made it seem like a regular single-serving meal, but it arrived more like a platter. The food itself was average.
I also asked specifically about their lassi, and was assured it was excellent. However, it turned out to be overly sweet and I couldn’t finish it.
As for the hookah, it took almost 15 minutes to arrive. After about 30 minutes of smoking, the charcoal was burned out. I continued for another 15 minutes and then politely asked for a charcoal change. To my surprise, the staff responded rudely, refusing to change it and implying that I had smoked long enough and should leave.
This kind of attitude is unacceptable. The staff could benefit from proper customer service training. A good ambiance or food means little if the service leaves you...
Read moreTerrible service. Whole restaurant was empty. They have shady deals like of you give them 5 star on Google you get free naan.
Anyway long story short, all their bread had egg so we could not order bread. So we ordered rice and sabji. The person who took order got back telling we have to order one more item either appetizers or main course. We chose samosas. After couple mins, one of the chef came back and argued telling only if you order onion pakoda we will serve food. We left that place immediately. Not worth visiting.
Addition note after response from owner : firstly I have dined at many Indian restaurant in korea budget is not an issue as long as there are plenty options to eat, secondly it's great that high class exotic restaurant is empty and chef dictates I have to eat onion pakoda, thirdly there is no question of nationality. It's unfortunate that owner is getting personal as its total lack of professionalism. Im indian and I'm proud...
