Busan Sutbul Galbi — Restaurant in Busan

Honestly, even giving one star for the food feels too generous. Our family of five ordered 3 portions of galbi (한우), 3 portions of samgyeopsal (삼겹살), 1 bowls of naengmyeon (냉면), doenjang jjigae (된장찌개), 공기밥 5개 and beer—but my husband and I barely got to eat anything because we were busy feeding the kids.

Portion sizes aside, we seriously doubt whether the meat was even Korean beef, and more importantly, it wasn’t fresh at all. We’re big meat lovers and know our meat well, so we were incredibly disappointed. This was our first meal after arriving in Korea, and we were excited to have Korean BBQ—but all we got for side dishes were some bean sprouts and lettuce. That’s all I can remember because the banchan was that underwhelming.

Since our kids speak only English, I started wondering if they ripped us off, thinking we were just some foreigners who wouldn’t be back. I tried not to make it obvious that we were from abroad, but there was no helping it because of the kids.

Honestly don’t bother - they want you to have at least two dishes (both restaurants have the same policy…there is one next door)

I’ve been a chef for ten + years I know how to bbq lol they treat you like an idiot - laugh at you make you cook as quick as possible so they can save their precious charcoal - I paid $45 aud for some slithers of meat and essentially to be insulted and get in / out.

Go to the fish market or go get some pork & rice soup for 11,000 won...

The staff destroyed the food for me. The food was mediocre and they were so rude when we could not get how they explained their policy and mocked us not even behind our backs. I get that we are foreigners in this country but they were so disrespectful i was angry eating. Shout out to the old woman with curly hair that did a tantrum and bad mouthed us just beside our table.
