Gaejung — Restaurant in Daegu

Don't go, for a number of reasons. 1) As of May 2021 and probably earlier, they've been turning away all foreigners, claiming it's for public safety. Just another Korean establishment indulging in racist scapegoating. 2) The food is bland and overpriced, and at least several years ago they still had the "foreigner" menu with marked-up prices. Seriously, there are dozens of other decent restaurants serving the same food around Dongseongno....

Lovely place to have dinner with friends and family. It's fortunate that we had a Korean friend with us to translate our orders and talk with staff. They were accommodating though. I love the bibimbap on a stone pot because it's tasty. Their dumplings are also a must-try. Overall, it was a pleasant dining...
