Before i went to Daegu, i've done quite an extensive search for halal restaurant in the city. One of the place that i have constantly met in my research is this restaurant. To be honest, first impression is not quite good for me, since the place is located on a basement and give somewhat an unpleasant feeling when you walked down the stairs toward the restaurant, but since i have got no other choice for halal food around my hotel, i went in anyway. The inside is somewhat have "indian" vibe with its ornaments and two manequin using traditional indian apparel, a but dim to my taste but surprisingly very clean

There are some tables set for 2, 4 and 6 persons and air conditioned. The server is fast in serving us, bringing me and my wife a pot of cold water. The menu is already on the table so we orderes a set menu consisting of a chicken curry, vegetables salad, nan bread and quarter of chicken tandori. We also ordered a blueberry lasi for drinks, plus an extra bowl of rice. The portion, when the food is served, is quite big for me, so i splitted it with my wife. But if you tend to be a bit glutton, no offense, i think 1 set menu will be enough for you alone. The chicken curry is very thick, savory, rich with spice and goes very well with the rice. The curry is also great with the warm, cripy in the outside but soft in the inside nan bread, try dipping it with your hand and avoid spoon or fork at all cost

But i have to say the chicken tandori is the star of the dish, it has a smoky, savory taste but not spicy and the meat is soft and juicy. My blueberry lasi is also good, it was a mixed blueberry sirrup and yoghurt, a bit sweet, thick, served cold. Just the thing after you walked in the sweltering Korean summer

I was so impressed with the workers capability of speaking english, something of a rarety in Daegu. They are also very friendly and helpfull people, i was taking some picture for the review, and one of the worker politely asked wether i would like to take a picture with my wife. After that, i also have a small pleasant chat with the cashier when pay my bill, she told me of her favourite menu in the restaurant, which i believe mutton curry and mutton tandori, on which i promised to taste it next time i visit the restaurant

All in all, leaving the restaurant give me a full belly and a pleasant feeling, a sense of total fullfillness and a promise of return next time i am around the area. Oh yeah, one more thing, for you moslem traveler, this is one place you should visit if you want to eat halal meat during your visit to daegu. You will...

Simply the best halal food here. I have been here twice and ordered the mutton seekh and the chilli chicken(which the chef graciously agreed to make with white meat), and the food was mouth watering, and reminded me of the flavor at home. I came with an empty stomach and left with a smile. The seekh was soft made from clean meat, which melted in the mouth. The chilli chicken was rich in flavor; sweet and tangy taste. The service of the staff is also very commendable and attentive maintaining a pleasant demeanor...

I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing and I even requested for something not quite on the menu and they made it for me. Their dishes have the perfect balance of spiciness to them and i love that. The atmosphere is also another reason to come here, it feels so relaxed and intimate. They do speak English in addition to Korean. This restaurant...
