5 stars — A Seafood Feast Worth Waddling For!

If you ever find yourself in Seogwipo wondering, “Where do locals hide the good stuff?” — look no further than 엉덩물횟집. We stumbled into this place and stumbled out full, happy, and plotting our return.

The grilled fish? So good it should come with a warning label: may cause spontaneous happy dances. The banchan (side dishes) lineup was a mini K-drama in every bite — especially that cucumber kimchi and the chewy marinated seafood. Even our daughter declared the kimchi “authentic” — and she’s tough to please!

Service? Lightning fast. Staff? So friendly, I was half expecting them to pull up a chair and join us for dinner.

Pro tip: Come hungry, and maybe bring stretchy pants. Bonus points if you’re celebrating your anniversary — trust me, nothing says “I love you” like fighting over the last piece of grilled mackerel.

근처 호텔에 숙박하면서 고등어회 먹을 곳이 있나 검색해보다가 포장하러 방문 했었습니다. 전화로 먼저 고등어회가 6만원이던데 둘이 먹을 수 있냐고 물어봤었고, 2인분 정도 되는 양이라는 답을 듣고 포장 주문을 했습니다. 사진에 보이는 고등어 회가 6만원 짜리입니다. 종잇장처럼 얇습니다. 관광단지인 걸 감안하고 생각해도 돈이 너무 아까웠습니다. 게다가 또 회에서 가시가 얼마나 나오는지. 회 먹으면서 생선 가시 발라 먹은 건 살면서...
