동대문정육식당 — Restaurant in Seoul

Our last night in Korea had us wandering by here in October while we were hungry, and we saw they had galbitang, which I had wanted to try, so we went in. It was early evening during the week and it wasn't as busy, though they were busy by the time we had finished. The galbitang was very good, though I added a smidge of salt. For solo traveller, avoid this shop if you wanna try the BBQ, there is a minimum ordering quantity of 2 portions of meat (the male waiter only tell me after he set up the bbq equipments). 지난 12/6 중학동창 송년모임으로 남녀동창 32명이 간 고깃집. 위치는 흥인지문(동대문)근처로 동대문역 6, 7번출구로 나와 KFC옆쪽 골목으로 30M쯤 들어가면 나온다. (주소 : 종로구 종로46길 7. 1층) 영업시간은 연중무휴 24시라고 한다. 70년대초부터 운영해 50여년된 가게로 구)강물집이었다 하며, "한우 투뿔 NO.9, 한돈 원뿔 암퇘지, 한우/한돈 특수부위"만을 판매한다고 자랑한다. 매장이 넓고 회식장소로 쓰기 좋게 별도 룸이 있다. 모임인원이 많고 미리 예약해서인지 4인 테이블 8개를 준비해뒀고, 톄이블마다 밑반찬(양파절임, 김치, 야채(상추/배추잎/깻잎), 파무침, 콩나물무침, 무당근생채, 마늘)과 된장찌개를 준비해두었다. (밑반찬은 셀프코너에서 리필 가능하고 된장찌개는 직원들에게 얘기하면 재료를 리필해준다) 테이블마다 주문키오스크가 있어 손님이 직접 주문할수 있어 편하다. 고기(한우, 한돈)는 정육점 가격으로 조금 저렴하게 팔며 손님1인당 상차림비 2,000원씩을 별도로 받는다 (=비용만으로 볼땐 일반 고깃집들 대비 별차이 없다고 느껴짐) 일반 고깃집들에 비해 고기가 신선하고 질이 좋아 모두 만족했다. 고기를 구우니 쫄깃한 식감과 적당한 지방비율로 고소하고 맛있었다. 모임총무가 주문하고 계산하여 얼마나 많이 먹었는지, 비용은 총 얼마나 나왔는지 잘은 모르나... 암퇘지한마리 大10판 (한돈 원뿔암퇘지, 1kg 1판 ₩67,000) 한우차돌박이 8판(한우 투뿔, 150g 1판 ₩22,000), 돼지고기김치찌개 8뚝배기(1뚝배기 량이 2~3인분 ₩6,000), 계란찜 8뚝배기(1뚝배기 ₩5,000), 소주/맥주/막걸리/음료수 등을 주문하였는데... 음식/주류값 120만원 + 상차림비 6.4만원 + 팁등 하여 130만원정도 나왔는데 1인당 4만원정도 되니... 가성비대비로 먹은 음식/양대비로 아주...
