Daughter and wife had diarrhea after eating their PyeongYang Noodle.

Visited this place after my wife had read positive reviews on the net. The place looked clean and organized. Was looking forward to our evening out until the menu was presented. KRW 27,000 for 150g of frozen meat?

Ordered two servings and the noodle. Both wife and daughter shared a bowl of noodle which I did not. In the middle of dining, daughter had to visit the ladies room (I didn't know at the time she had a case of diarrhea). Arrived home, and my wife had the same experience. A severe case of diarrhea.

This is the place where I truly discovered the amazing taste of grilled beef intestines (yang-daechang). The free side dishes are absolutely amazing — especially when you eat them with chamnamul (Korean wild greens).

평양냉면에 맛을 들이게 되면 고기를 먹고 후식으로 먹는 냉면에서 멀어지게 된다. 맛있는 고기를 먹었는데 달고 질긴 공장 냉면으로 입을 버려서야 되겠는가? 용강동의 양대창 전문점인 ‘청춘구락부’에서는 그런 걱정은 하지 않아도 좋다. 올해부터 냉면을 시작했건만, 주 무기인 양대창의 품질에 뒤처지지 않는다. 아니, 냉면만 따로 먹으러 가도 충분히 좋을 정도다. 인근에 ‘봉피양’ 지점이 있지만, 감히 말하건대 훨씬 낫다. 오로지 메밀만으로 뽑아낸 순면에서는 기존의 냉면보다는 오히려 일본 소바에 가까울 정도의 메밀 향을 느낄 수 있다. 한우와 꿩으로 뽑아낸 육수의 향 사이로 피어오르는 메밀 향은 양대창의 느끼함을 기분 좋게 잡아준다. 배가 부른데 젓가락이 계속 가더니 국물까지 싹 비우고 말았다. 물냉면을 부담스러워한다면 들기름메밀순면을 먹어도 훌륭하다. 지리산에서 가져온 저온압착 들기름과 조선간장을 뿌려 먹는다. 막국수계를 평정하고 있는 용인 ‘고기리장원막국수’의 들기름막국수에 필적할 만하다. 식사를 마칠 무렵 만석인 홀을 둘러봤다. 고기를 먹은 후 모두 냉면 그릇을 앞에 놓고...
