Designed to express, in the architectsโ words, the โaesthetics of slownessโ, Cheong Su Dang Garden is an example of architecture firm Glow Seoulโs ability in transforming otherwise mundane and familiar spaces into extraordinary pieces of art. Complete with tiered waterfalls, Kyto style rock gardens and mini Zen landscapes the three storey Gangnam villa exhibits some of the finest โplanteriorโ art installations in the city.
Glow Studio, initially a brand developer established in 2015, now has four cafes and restaurants in Seoul and was almost single handedly responsible for the revival of Ikseon-dong with its popular concept cafes โSala Daengโ (Thai Fusion) and โHot Spring Houseโ (์จ์ฒ์ง).
Aside from the aesthetics they have an award winning pastry chef, Yun Hyo-sun (์คํจ์ ) whose latest creation, a series of Souffles and Fromage Cakes (Sesame, Matcha and Strawberry) are understandably a hit on Instagram due to their uncanny resemblance to miniature Bonsai gardens.

The cafe also has a small rooftop with white gravels covering the entire ground which gives off this almost vacationy vibes. Overall, definitely worth a visit but recommend to go on weekdays. Very crowded and very difficult to find seating on...

Takes about 30 minutes for them to make it from scratch - they passed us a buzzer and we walked around the area in the meantime. Lots of seating and interesting decor. Don't sit near the water - it smells like...
