I don’t usually like giving reviews like this because I generally like to focus on the quality of the food and service is less of an issue for me. This one is needed to warn tourists especially. There’s nothing to fault about their food but this place has some unethical practices. Firstly, we were more than happy to wait in line even if it was about an hour wait. One of their staff came out and specifically targeted tourists, asking us if we were willing to pay 30,000 to get seated immediately on level 3. He didn’t ask once after we understood his question and politely declined, he asked three times. To be honest, if there are seats available, why not just seat your customers? And also, why are they only targeting tourists? If anything, they should offer this transparently to everyone. Secondly, watch out for anything without a price. We are tourists who cannot speak or read Korean, they really could have made more effort (just like how the staff asked us three times about paying 30,000 to get seated immediately, they could have used the same energy and effort on this) to explain that some pork dishes are charged by weight and can be quite expensive. I think because one of the pork dishes is recommended by ‘JungKook’, I’m pretty sure they deliberately marked up the price. This 650g pork chop costed us 🇩đŸ‡ș$120 and I don’t get why it costs so much considering all their pork are from ‘Jeju’. That said, I won’t fully blame them for this and will take it as a lesson to read every single disclaimer on the iPad and also whatever stickers they give you once your meat is ‘weighted’ to make sure you approve the price. Just be careful if you choose to visit. In this instance, I honestly don’t think this was a language barrier issue, I think their business approach to this was intentional and once again, ‘unethical’. Thanks we won’t be returning or recommending to any of our friends.

★★★★★ Worth the Hype! Amazing Tender Jeju Pork & Great Service (Celeb Spotting!) Okay, just had lunch at Dosan Butcher and wow, gotta talk about it! If you're looking for a standout KBBQ spot in Seoul, this definitely lived up to the buzz. We went straight for the Jeju pork and seriously, the tenderness was unreal. Like, melt-in-your-mouth soft, no exaggeration. The staff grilled it perfectly right at our table, and the flavor was just incredible. You can taste the quality, for sure. And don't sleep on the banchan! They brought out a whole spread of little side dishes, and everything was so fresh and flavorful. That kimchi alongside the rich, tender pork? Chef's kiss. Honestly couldn't stop refilling the little plates. The service was spot-on too. Everyone was super friendly, really took care of us, and kept everything running smoothly (especially cooking the meat perfectly!). Big plus for us, their English was great, which made ordering and chatting about the menu totally stress-free. Huge relief sometimes! You can totally see why this place gets attention. I'd heard whispers that BTS's Jungkook and Suga have come through here, and even Blackpink's Jisoo! Honestly, after tasting that meat and getting such great service, it's no wonder why other K-pop artists probably keep coming back. It's genuinely that good. Seriously, between the incredible meat, tasty sides, and lovely service, it was just a perfect dinner experience. Totally understand the celebrity hype now. We'll definitely be dreaming about that pork and planning a return trip! Highly recommend trying it out.

I had a fantastic experience at Dosan Butcher. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming — they really take the time to explain everything, from how to best enjoy the different cuts of meat to how the whole dining experience works. Their guidance made the meal feel more personal and enjoyable, especially if you’re new to Korean BBQ or want to make the most of it. The food itself was outstanding. The quality of the meat is top-notch, and everything was fresh and flavorful. You can really tell they care about both the ingredients and the customer experience. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great service and amazing food!
