Haidilao Hotpot Seocho — Restaurant in Seoul

We had an incredible experience thanks to our server, 郭美蘭. She was exceptionally attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we felt cared for throughout our visit. Each time we went up to grab sauce, she had already brought items to our table before we even returned. She thoughtfully provided aprons to protect our clothes, ensuring we could enjoy our meal without worry.

She also took the time to chat with us, making the evening feel even more personal and welcoming. As a lovely surprise, she brought cake and oranges for dessert, which was such a sweet gesture. She asked if we wanted small dishes to try the broth, as my spouse and I nodded in agreement she immediately brought them over for both me and my spouse. She even noticed my spouse struggling with the hotpot and brought us a pair of tongs to make things easier.

It was clear how hardworking and dedicated she is, effortlessly managing a busy night while ensuring we were comfortable and happy. Her kindness, efficiency, and genuine care truly left a lasting impression on us.

Haidilao has been a cult favorite of mine ever since I first tried it in Japan, and this branch did not disappoint. I’m obsessed with their rich, flavorful tomato broth and the huge selection of vegetables and tofu dishes—perfect for customizing your hotpot exactly how you like it.

The service here was exceptional. My server even went the extra mile by cutting up my vegetables and mushrooms for me before I added them to my soup—something I’ve never had done before! That level of attentiveness really stood out.

The only downside for me was the drink selection, which was more limited compared to other Haidilao locations I’ve visited. I love their drinks, so I missed having a bigger variety. Still, the food is the real star here, and it delivered as always.

Be prepared for long wait times—it’s worth it, but I recommend joining the remote reservation list online in advance. This location even offers nail services while you wait, which is such a unique touch! I might give that a try next time.

Overall, the food was delicious, the service was beyond excellent, and I’ll definitely be back—and will continue visiting Haidilao branches...

An interesting and unforgettable experience bc of how attentive the staff was. Honestly my friend felt a bit uncomfortable because he thought they were overly attentive for his taste lol.

I tried to grab my jacket from the cubby under my seat and one of the waiters rushed over to help me. I waited until the waiters had their backs on me so I could pour myself water (bc I didn’t want to bother them), but then one of the waiters whipped her head around and made a beeline towards me to pour the water for me haha. They would frequently scoop out the white stuff (fats..?) from the hotpot for us. I was also given a hair tie (which I will continue to use until I lose it) because I had long hair.
