Super cute unmanned ramen shop! It is so colorful with so many post-it notes on the wall, with messages from people from ALL ARD THE WORLD.
At the entrance, the shop sign is so brightly lit up, with a projection of the shop logo on the floor. SO EYE CATCHING FROM FAR 😄😄
Ordering is done via a kiosk - paid via youtrip card. You choose the ramen/drink you want to order, then the price will be shown and you pay accordingly. Vegan and halal option is available.
There are 2 floors - both floors have the ramen making machines, as well as the toppings. Take the ramen and drink from the first floor and proceed to second floor, to cook it upstairs instead if you choose to sit above!
Toppings wise, they have kimchi, radish kimchi, cheese, bean sprouts, black fungus, carrots etc. Sadly no egg as it is fire hazard.
Make sure to clean up after yourself, and dispose the rubbish properly as korea is strict on garbage disposal. Just follow the different buckets for food waste, and recyclables (paper cup and paper bowl w aluminium base),...
Read moreMy wife and I landed late at night and didn't arrive in the city until 1130pm. After not having much to eat on the plane ride over, we found ourselves starving. What an absolute must this felt like at the time! Thankfully, our hotel was just around the corner to this spot, and we found ourselves visiting multiple times for late night snacks. I mean it's 24 hours! What a great find, especially for travelers coming to Seoul early in the morning (or late at night). Big selection with vegan and halal options as well. Great vibe as well. I really like the concept - it's totally unmanned, and you go and choose from many different instant noodle flavours. It's more expensive than say, 7-11, but there is more choice, also you can add extra vegetables, kimchi and pickles to your noodles. The inside has a cool aesthetic and it's clear that many different tourists visit here from...
Read moreI found this place on YouTube and it's exactly as advertised. The noodles are all between 3500 - 4000 won (all toppings included, I like the American cheese slices and kimchi), and there's an upstairs area. The place itself is small, about the size of a studio apartment. I stayed at a hotel nearby so this was actually the first place I ate at in Korea! You just pay what you want to take at the machine and plug in your credit card in (no PIN or signing, which seems to be the case in all of the country. I was confused at first whether my transaction went through or not). Personally I think its a nice place to spend 20-30 minutes in, especially if you're in the area, just for the novelty. This sort of place would only work in a place like Korea or Japan. It's also relatively clean for a place...
