I had an incredibly rude and discriminatory experience at this café that left me and my friends (Korean, Chinese, and Malaysian) feeling shocked and uncomfortable. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was cold—no smiles, no welcoming gestures, just an unfriendly vibe, even though we had just ordered drinks and sought shelter from the rain.

The worst part of the experience was when one of the staff members, a short lady, banged on the toilet door three times while my friend was inside. She knew very well that someone was in there, yet she continued to act so aggressively. When we confronted her about her behavior, she completely ignored us—no apology, no explanation—just flat-out dismissed us. What kind of customer service is that?

When we spoke to the boss about the situation, we were met with even more disappointment. Instead of addressing the issue or listening to our concerns, the boss was more interested in defending the staff member, claiming she’s known for her "great customer service." If that’s the best they can offer, it’s honestly shocking. If you’re not open to feedback, then what’s the point of running a café?

To top it off, the drinks were below average. I run a cafe myself, so I usually keep quiet, but the coffee was terribly made—the milk froth was all wrong. You’d think they’d at least put some effort into training their staff, both in customer service and coffee-making skills, instead of overprotecting them for unacceptable behavior.

This was a total case of discrimination, and it was clear we were being treated differently from other customers. A good café? Sure, it’s in a nice location, but that’s about it. I will definitely not be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.
