The manager is rude! Not kid-friendly location. It’s not clear you need to sign up and register through a QR code at the entrance, whether to dine in or take out. People were walking in without doing so, but we were the only group with kids. I don’t have a problem with following rules, but everyone should have to follow the same rules. The manager was manning the door and asked us to wait outside and register. We weren’t singled out, but again, there was no queue at the time, and some customers entered without having any number called and without being asked to register.
We did not plan to dine in initially because the registration process indicated there were over 30ppl in front of us. With takeout option, we were able to enter immediately; however, when we chose our food and ordered our drinks, we saw that there were many tables free. We pivoted to dining in and decided to also order their French toast as a result. This cafe, like most, have a cafeteria style service mode where you order and pay, and then choose a place to sit. My wife and kids chose the free space at the drink counter bar, but were told we didn’t register for the dine in option. The did allow us to sit at the tables outside. Luckily, it was not too cold an afternoon. The reason for the 2-star review is that many customers who were walk-ins did just walk-in and choose a free table with no reservation. These customers were not asked to leave and sit outside.
The food was better than good, but the cafe scene in Seoul is such that there are many options with equally good food/pastries/bread, but with much better service.

Read moreVisited on 6/20, a rainy day. Unfortunately, we had a really unpleasant experience. We were waiting under their umbrella for our turn when the receptionist, with a rude attitude, told us to move and not stand in front of the store. We didn’t argue and simply waited across the street in front of another cafe.
Our turn came quickly, and while the space was nice and the food and drinks were decent, the reason I’m leaving a 1-star review is because of the poor customer service—especially from the receptionist.
It was our first time visiting, and we didn’t realize it was a self-service cafe where customers are expected to order, pick up, and clean up after themselves. Before we left, we made sure to wipe down the table and place everything neatly on the tray. However, we didn’t know we also needed to return the tray, and the return station wasn’t visible or clearly marked.
As we were leaving, the receptionist called my friend back and pointed at the table—again, with attitude. At first, I thought we forgot to pay or left something behind, but then I realized she was calling us back just to return the tray. Really? That’s how you treat customers?
We visited many places in Seoul and had great experiences everywhere else. Sadly, this was the only place where we felt disrespected, especially disappointing for such a trendy, modern cafe. We were honestly upset and just kept telling ourselves few times, “Don’t let her ruin our trip.”
At the very least, the cafe should put up a clear sign or train staff to politely inform customers if trays need to be returned—not embarrass them like that. The receptionist’s attitude was completely...

a member of staff was brushing her teeth in full view of customers, in the restaurant. She was having a full conversation with her colleagues while still brushing her teeth. She then took a long nap with a blanket over her head, a few seats away from us. Strange and off putting. waitlist and queue system was confusing. Waited around an hour. Got an email to say our table was ready, got taken off the list 2 mins later (you need to be there within 2 mins or it expires, but I didn’t even get a notification until 2 mins later, so I couldn’t get there any sooner…), arrived at the place, was waiting for ages for someone to serve us, then somehow was no.5 in the waiting list again…finally got a table. service was slow and hard to come by. When you arrive, no one tells you what’s going on or how it works. When trying to order and pay, several staff members made eye contact but kept me waiting until one person finally...
