The Original Pancake House in Itaewon, Seoul, Korea, is an absolute gem that delights the senses with its incredible atmosphere and mouthwatering food. Our experience there was nothing short of exceptional, leaving us with memories of delightful flavors and a cozy ambiance.
Let's start with the star of the show – the pancakes. Oh, the pancakes! Both the plain and Blueberry Pancakes were simply divine, with the Blueberry Pancakes earning a spot in our hearts as the best we've ever had. They were fluffy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with juicy blueberries that added a delightful sweetness to every bite.
We also indulged in their hash browns, which we requested well done, and they were executed flawlessly. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, they were a delightful complement to our main dishes.
While everything we tried was exceptional, the French Toast fell a bit short of our expectations. It was a tad too wet and eggy for our liking, but this small hiccup didn't overshadow the overall fantastic experience.
To wash it all down, we enjoyed their fresh-squeezed Orange juice, which was a refreshing and delicious accompaniment to our meal.
But what truly sets The Original Pancake House apart is its inviting atmosphere. The cozy yet vibrant ambiance creates the perfect setting for a delightful breakfast or brunch experience. The friendly staff added to the warmth of the place, making us feel right at home.
In conclusion, The Original Pancake House in Itaewon is a must-visit for pancake enthusiasts and anyone looking for a delightful breakfast or brunch experience in Seoul. With exceptional pancakes, perfectly cooked hash browns, and a charming atmosphere, it's a culinary gem that...
Read moreFood is good here, but all front-staff on the latest visit was awfully bad. No one is willing to listen carefully to the order being taken. They walked away during sentence. Servers /staff here are sensitive where they will not come back to assist unless called upon. No coffee refills at all until it was asked for. Food can take time to come out, which is normal, but why does drip coffee have to come out at the same time as the food or after the food with us having to ask? You can clearly see staff ignoring tables including mine, I don't know why, where, many customers/people continually had to raise hands and ask/blurt things out for service.
If things on the menu are not available due to Coronavirus, country fried chicken was not available, then mask it out on the menu, dont make us waiting to be seated think that the entire menu is available when it isn't. You're wasting customer time, and it's inefficient. Typically my feedbacks are for positives giving 4~5 stars. This is my first 1 star rating given, ever on google, due to the way I was treated by staff (visit date: July/12/2020)
I frequented this establishment many times in the past, and it was not like this before. Manager and staff all took part in this...
Read moreSorry OP you just did not come close to my expectations. We arrived to nice atmosphere but really loud music, seems they were playing for the workers and not the clientele. Met by a less than happy waitress. She sat us down in a not too pleasant table next to the kitchen entrance and under a cold AC vent. Waited over five minutes for a waiter. Had to flag one down to get a menu and take our order. He must have been new. Didn't understand side orders. Food finally arrived. Ordered the Fruit waffle plate, sausages, hash browns and orange juice. Wife had the chicken salad. Waffle was overcooked and the color dark brown, fruit was OK, not enough whipped cream though. Sausage was undercooked and not flavored like a sausage should be. Hash browns were not brown but orange. Never seen orange hash browns before. Must have been the oil it was cooked in since the plate had a lot of oil on it. Do to the food coming warm, the AC cooled it down very quickly. When the food arrived it came with the bill. Never saw the waiter again after that. Seems all the employees I saw milling around were not a happy bunch. No one came to ask if the food was OK and if we wanted anything else. I now miss IHOP...
