bogwangjung — Restaurant in Seoul

This is not by any chance a 5 star worthy restaurant by normal standards. MY EXPERIENCE thought today 21April2025 it was very positive. It felt like a neighborhood restaurant in which your grandmother is the cook. It's specia I can't describe it. There was a lady who made the egg fried rice and it was really good. You order through a tablet on your table. We had 2 pork shoulders and one pork belly portion(2 guys and a lady) and we left the place feeling with a great sensation. It was just about right. The ONLY serve pork here and there's no great selection of meat to choose from. They cook the meat for you aswell. We paid 66k won between the 3 of us which is 15USD each. The pork was amazing and so tasty. The side dishes could have been more and of great variety. OVERALL : you can get a better price quality offer somewhere else for sure with more options and greater selection. The service was a bit slow and for the egg fried rice we had to remind them even though it was almost empty. He had to ask for water as they bring you some kind of tea which doesn't taste very nice. I DID ENJOY the food, the atmosphere and the staff was so nice and they brought an almost homely feeling which was great and the food was cooked with looooots of love. Good Korean bbq to visit if you are staying in itaewon.

I dined in on my own and I don’t speak Korean but luckily the staff knew English.

they do require you order a minimum of 2 servings of the meat, so I ordered the pork neck. I also ordered the kimchi noodles, which are cold noodles and were delicious!

Their Staff member Isabella was preparing and cooking my meat for me and was very friendly and engaging in conversation. This meant I didn’t have to touch the bbq.

The menu is quite simple which I liked. Didn’t overwhelm.

Meat was fantastic and cooked to my preference.

At the end they have an ice cream machine to cleanse the pallette. For free!

A special shout-out to the lovely lady from China who provided exceptional and attentive service throughout our meal – she truly made our experience even better.

But the real star of the show was undoubtedly the premium pork belly. Each thick-cut piece was cooked to perfection – incredibly juicy on the inside with a beautifully crisp and slightly charred exterior.

The quality of the pork was evident in every flavorful bite. It was simply the best pork belly I've had in a long time!
