The Rose & Crown Ale House — Restaurant in Seoul

So this was the first time for my wife and I in Itaewon. We've been in South Korea for nearly 2 years and the idea of going somewhere for a pint that's a bit like home was a nice idea! I'm very glad we did! They've obviously done a lot of work trying to emulate an old style English pub and I've got to give them credit, they've done a nice job of it. Not quite the same but definite A for effort! Most important things though were that the staff were very friendly (something we noticed overall about many places we went to in Itaewon, absolutely lovely) and of course the beer was very good! I've not had a London Pride since I was back home, so that was nice. Oh and 10/10 for the food - another first in Korea! Fish n chips! 😋😍 Chips were good, I must admit I wish they were fat chips like back home but they were lovely! Fish though was the prize on the plate, perfectly cooked, good beer batter, crispy with not too much grease. I know plenty of chippies back home in the UK who don't cook the fish as good as this. So very happy me! Just needed some mushy peas and tartare sauce! 😂 Oh and I should mention my wife and two friends (all from UK also) were very happy with their food. I literally just got pushed out by a waitress at The Rose & Crown. I am a black American woman. I came alone after reading the reviews on google praising the authentic British food at this place. The lower level bar seemed full so I went upstairs to check out if it was less busy and I was about to make my way to the bar to see if I could get a seat at the bar.
