Troika — Restaurant in Seoul

I had a wonderful experience dining at this Russian restaurant near Itaewon station. The restaurant's decorations, featuring numerous Russian dolls and other items from Russia, added a unique charm to the place. The servers dressed in traditional Russian attire truly enhanced the overall dining experience. Even though we were a bit hesitant to try Russian dishes at first, we were pleasantly surprised by how delightful they were. The dishes were not overly seasoned and were made with fresh, excellent ingredients.

We particularly enjoyed the Kvas, a refreshing rye bread beverage, and the Blinchiki S Myasom, a soft crepe with a delicious beef filling. The Carmen salad was good but not outstanding. The Okroshka, a cold soup, was unique and enjoyable, while the Beef Stroganoff with mashed potatoes definitely stole the show. The Myaco Po-Orlovski, oven-cooked pork with vegetables and mozzarella cheese, was also absolutely delicious.

The atmosphere is very friendly, the staff is super nice and attentive. Soup (borscht) that we ordered was pretty good (the other one (solyanka) was good too, i was ordering it for a take out before), skewers (chicken, pork, lamb) were decent, and i’d say that the lamb one was the juiciest out of three. Samsa was delicious, but the pastry itself was on a bit smaller side, so that was a bit disappointing. So, thanks to the staff & some dishes the overall experience dining out there was 4.5/5 i’d say.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Troika was unacceptable. The service was shockingly poor — the waitresses were rude, unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic customer care. Their attitude made the entire evening uncomfortable, bordering on hostile.

No restaurant can justify this level of disrespect toward its clients. I strongly advise against dining here until serious changes are made in staff training...
