First time I went the experience was good, good deserts and friendly customer services. However second time I went I brought cookies at the cookie counter. The Turkish man in his late 40's/50's tall, medium build was friendly at first and spoke back to me in English, after putting my cookies in the packaging I then asked him if I pay here and he told me to go to the till counter. Whilst I was walking away I heard him say "don't steal" in English. Which I think was absolutely, incredibly rude and unprofessional.
I mean who says that for the customer to hear, even if it wasn't intentional????. Please !!!!!!!! I am not desperate enough to steal 4 little cookies, who do you take me for???????. If I wanted I could buy all the cookies from this shop!!!!!!!! His salary per hour is probably less than what I paid in that shop and if it wasn't for the Korean government allowing him to stay then he would still be picking up rubbish on the streets in Turkey making peanuts per hour !!!! And he's got the cheek to say "don't steal"!!!! I was so overwhelmed but never confronted him about it as I was already as I mentioned, walking towards the till.
Manager please if you or the owner reads this comment then please train your staff not to talk inappropriately towards the paying customers. It's a shame really because I am very fond of Turkish food and culture and have also lived in Turkey before, but people like him just leave me with a bad impression and I certainly won't be going there again to hear rude insults like that.
Worse thing is I'm just a tourist passing through, but god knows how he talks or treats the locals living there. Bad minded, rude man!!!!!! And one more thing to note of your cakes, one of them the milky tres leche leaks out of the cardboard box. Twice I've purchased this and the sauce eventually leaks out...
Read moreIt takes a lot for me to give negative reviews but if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The service was horrendous and we were treated like unwelcome guests. I also heard the lady at the register speaking very rudely about us to her turkish client. My instinct was telling me to walk right out but I felt pressured to order as we were queuing up for a while without being acknowledged so we decided to persevere in the hopes that the food would redeem the negative experience.
However that was unfortunately not the case. The coffee order was incorrect and tasted horribly. We also ordered a cake and it was super stale and dry like it was kept on display for days on end so it was definitely not close to being even remotely fresh.
The positive reviews here must have gone to a different place because we had a horrible time and would never return or recommend this place to anyone.
Save your money and go somewhere where you are treated with respect and the...
Read moreIt was my first time here. Even as I entered I was mesmerized by the atmosphere and I felt I was in a shop in Turkiye. You immediately get absorbed in the desserts the cookies and the bread. Because all of them looks so delicious. The place looked extremely clean and well maintained even though they get a lot of customers. Maybe because it was the weekend there were many people. Staff were so nice and welcomed us with smiles. Especially the young man there helped us with a lot of patience even when we asked so many questions. He definitely deserves a raise. When we tried the food it was beyond our expectations. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Go try it. We had the pistachio baklava with assorted cookies and the Turkish tea. The baklava especially was the best I tasted except in Turkiye. Everything 10...
