Vegetus — Restaurant in Seoul

The food was tasty and everyone enjoyed their meals! It was prepared in good time and everything tasted fresh.

I feel front of house service could be improved, we asked whether the fries on the menu were gluten free and the person who took our order was a little condescending and acted as if we were silly for asking as they obviously would be. He then asked the person in the kitchen who said they weren’t gluten free. I think for a small menu, front of house staff should know the items a little better and also avoid making customers feel silly for asking questions about allergens (especially as in this case, we were right to ask). Additionally, they took our order down wrong and one person got a burger that wasn’t what they had wanted. We went for the Christmas dinner, which was a set menu. The staff came multiple times throughout the first course to ask questions about modifying the menu and if we would change our choices to make it easier for them, which was very interrupting. The food in general was not hot, but lukewarm at best and didn’t have a lot of taste. It was nice but just not very flavorful. Additionally, the restaurant itself was cold and drafty. Surprisingly tasty vegan lasagna. It's a nice- sized serving, but not super filling. I think it comes with a salad that I opted not to have, but some potatoes or green beans would be a nice side to make it a more complete meal. Those options might be on the menu, I'll have to check next time. Went on a Sunday evening to eat alone and the mood lighting was a little too dark for my taste. They also have a chocolate brownie that was the truth. A lot of vegan chocolate desserts tend to taste bland or artificial, but the brownie was flavorful and just sweet enough.
