Wagle wagle bakeshop — Restaurant in Seoul

The personnel is extremely rude and neglecting. When I paid at the counter, the counter girl told me in Korean that the coffe will be served at the counter (I'm not sure about my understanding for 100%, since I'm studying Korean). After the payment, I took the tray with bakery to walk to my seat, but the counter girl all of sudden grabbed the tray from my hands rudely and with visible annoyance told me that the coffee will be served with the food. Her rough action left me speechless, cause I barely face this kind of behavior at the coffeeshops or bakery. I think she thought that there are so many foreigners and they will never express their dissatisfaction due to the language barrier. I was frustrated by this action and when my coffee was out I went to the counter and told the girl that she should not act impolite towards the client. And she was like "ah, yeah, yeah". This made me angry even more. I told her that she supposed to apologize. And with fake smile she roughly apologized. I don't target everyone at the counter except that one particular girl. If somebody hates to work in the service area, they should not be there . What supposed to be nice morning coffee turned to the frustration. I don't recommend this place to visit. At this place 80% of customers are foreigners and the this bakery getting their income mostly from foreigners. The owner or staff should remember it.

직원들의 태도가 매우 무례하고 불친절했습니다. 계산대에서 결제를 할 때 계산대 직원이 한국어로 “커피는 카운터에서 나옵니다”라고 말했는데, 제가 한국어를 공부 중이라 100% 확신은 없었습니다. 결제 후 빵이 담긴 트레이를 들고 자리에 가려고 했는데, 그 직원이 갑자기 제 손에서 트레이를 거칠게 빼앗으며 짜증난 표정으로 “커피는 음식이랑 같이 나올 거예요”라고 말했습니다. 그 행동이 너무 거칠고 무례해서 순간 말을 잃었습니다. 카페나 베이커리에서 이런 태도를 보인 직원은 거의 처음이었습니다. 아마 외국인 손님이 많아서, 언어 문제 때문에 불만을 표현하지 않을 거라고 생각한 것 같습니다. 그 행동 때문에 정말 불쾌했습니다. 커피가 나왔을 때 계산대로 가서 그녀에게 손님에게 그렇게 무례하게 대하지 말라고 말했더니, 그녀는 “아, 네, 네” 하며 대수롭지 않게 반응했습니다. 그 태도에 더 화가 났습니다. 그래서 사과를 해야 한다고 말했더니, 억지로 웃으며 형식적으로 사과했습니다. 저는 다른 직원들을 비난하는 것이 아니라, 그 특정 직원의 태도에 대해 말하고 싶습니다. 서비스업이 싫다면 그런 일을 하지 말아야 합니다. 즐거운 아침 커피 시간이 불쾌한 경험으로 바뀌었습니다. 이곳은 손님의 80%가 외국인으로 보였는데, 이 베이커리는 대부분 외국인 손님에게서 수익을 얻고 있을 겁니다. 사장님과 직원들이 이 점을 꼭 기억했으면 합니다....

Nice selection of flavoured bagels and other baked products. It's on a back lane near the hospital so easy to miss. When I went on a Wednesday morning it was filling up with medical staff grabbing a quick break from the hospital. Bright room and you can watch the bakers making the bagels. Coffees is ok but a bit on the sweet side as we had an Iced Vanilla Latte and an Iced Mocha. Probably can find better coffee in the area. They open early which is nice in an area that most things don't open until 11am. My favourite was the pizza style bagel as it was sweet and spicy at the same time. Defiantly not your typical North American Bagel but...

I checked out Wagle Wagle Bakeshop in Dongdaemun, and honestly, the vibe pulled me in right away—it’s got that stylish, cozy look from the outside. The inside’s pretty chill too, not too small, not too big, just enough space to relax for a bit. Their signature menu, the “Cro-wagle,” looks kinda like a bagel at first, but once you bite into it, it’s totally giving croissant vibes. Super flaky on the outside, soft on the inside, and that buttery flavor really hits. It’s surprisingly filling too, so one was enough to keep me happy. If you’re around Dongdaemun and craving a sweet break, this spot’s definitely worth...
