Hotel Migliore Seoul — Hotel in Seoul

I had clocked the location of the Migliore from the neon on the front when walked down at night from Dongdaemun where I was then staying. The DDP is such a fantastic building (not built when I was last in Seoul 10 years ago) so decided it would be the last night hotel in Seoul on a 13 night trip to SK. Definitely had to be a DDP view to make it worthwhile so paid the extra for a front row view on the 20th floor. Sadly the evening I arrived and my last day were both rainy, the only during my Korean Aug. stay so impact of the view rather diminished.

The double room was of a standard to match the price and had a bath under the shower so took the only opportunity in SK to use it. The location is great, particularly when wet and with luggage the street elevator to subway & plaza is 100m. to the right from the front of the hotel on same side (partic. important in SK as usually no escalators down into the subway, only steps). Plenty of food places in the streets behind the hotel.

Apart from the neon visible at night access directions to the hotel are woeful. Go to the last doorway on the left side of the building, still no signage, concierge will direct you to the 14th floor (heaps of signs IN the lift but bit late). Reception very helpful next day with local phone calls. Interesting to see many Asian tourists rearranging their luggage as many come with empty bags to fill from 8 floors of fashion mall on lower levels of the building. We love the bed and blanket so so so much !!! So comfortable. Although the room is slightly small but we were fine with it. We could sleep very well with the bed condition.

Hotel lobby located at 14 floor. The receptionist was friendly. Room was clean and location is very good too. There is a train station just right opposite the hotel and surrounded by restaurants/ food stalls / malls. During our check out, we could request hotel to store our luggage and we came back to collect afterwards.

江南側に泊まらない時には、いつも利用しています。 このホテルは、皆さんがおっしゃる通り立地重視でホテルにきれいさや新しさを求めない方にピッタリです。 予約の時点でバスタブ付き！と希望しないとシャワーのみの部屋になります。私はソウルはかなり歩くので必ず湯船に浸かりたいので、バスタブ付きを選びますがチンジルバンなどに行く人は不要かもしれませんね。 入口はミリオレ と化粧パックなどを売っているお店の間の通り(ミリオレ に向かって左側)を曲がると透明のドア2枚を入っていきます。ミリオレ ホテル入口に向かって右にお店が(コーヒーショップ)がありますが、このお店はいつも長続きしないのでコロコロ変わってしまいます。右にすごく小さなお店でそのすぐ隣に透明な扉2枚があるところを入ると、ビルみたいな感じで警備員のおじさんがいます。そのエレベーター14階まで行くとフロントがあります。警備員のおじさんは、日本語は無理ですがミリオレ...
