Food poisoning

Pedimos una ensalada César y lo que se suponía que era un "bistec" con patatas fritas. El bistec parecía sobras de comida para perros, cocinado en aceite y tenía más huesos, tendones y grasa que carne. Ojalá fuera el único problema. El olor cuando llegó el plato era muy extraño, por decir lo menos. Probé un trozo y no pude tragarlo; mi esposa probó uno y dijo que tal vez era solo un sabor "fuerte". No toqué más la carne; el camarero tomó el plato cuando le dije que no me gustaba, y aún así tuvimos que pagarlo. El problema es que mi esposa está enferma desde hace un par de horas y estoy pensando en llevarla al hospital. Esperaba estándares más altos que tener que pagar para enfermarme. Por supuesto, informaré este problema a las autoridades.

We ordered a Caesar salad and what was supposed to be a "steak" with fries. the steak looked like leftovers for dogs, cooked in oil and had more bones; tendons and fat than meat. If only it was the only issue. The smell when the plate arrived was very strange to say the least, I tried a piece and couldn't swallow; my wife tried one and said it was maybe just a "strong" taste. I did not touch the meat any further; the waiter took the plate when I mentioned I did not like it, and we still had to pay for it. Problem is that my wife is sick since couple of hours and considering taking her to the hospital. I was expecting higher standards than having to pay to get sick. I will of course report this problem to the authorities.

Nous avons commandé une salade César et ce qui était censé être un « steak » avec des frites. Le steak ressemblait à des restes pour chiens, cuits dans l'huile et avait plus d'os, de tendons et de graisse que de viande. Si seulement c'était le seul problème. L'odeur lorsque l'assiette est arrivée était pour le moins très étrange, j'en ai essayé un morceau et je n'ai pas pu avaler ; ma femme en a essayé un et a dit que c'était peut-être juste un goût « fort ». Je n'ai plus touché à la viande ; le serveur a pris l'assiette lorsque j'ai mentionné que je ne l'aimais pas, et nous avons quand même dû la payer. Le problème est que ma femme est malade depuis quelques heures et envisage de l'emmener à l'hôpital. Je m'attendais à des normes plus élevées que de devoir payer pour tomber malade. Je signalerai bien sûr ce problème aux autorités.

Wir bestellten einen Caesar Salad und etwas, das ein „Steak“ mit Pommes sein sollte. Das Steak sah aus wie Hundereste, in Öl gebraten und hatte mehr Knochen, Sehnen und Fett als Fleisch. Wenn das nur das einzige Problem wäre. Der Geruch, als der Teller kam, war gelinde gesagt sehr seltsam. Ich probierte ein Stück und konnte es nicht herunterschlucken. Meine Frau probierte eins und sagte, es sei vielleicht nur ein „starker“ Geschmack. Ich rührte das Fleisch nicht weiter an. Der Kellner nahm den Teller, als ich sagte, dass es mir nicht schmeckte, und wir mussten trotzdem dafür bezahlen. Das Problem ist, dass meine Frau seit ein paar Stunden krank ist und ich überlege, sie ins Krankenhaus zu bringen. Ich hatte höhere Standards erwartet, als dafür bezahlen zu müssen, krank zu sein. We really enjoyed the specialty of Ávila, chuletón here!! We came on a half day tour and were happy with the quick service (we came around 3:45pm and needed to leave by 4:30pm) and both of the steaks were served quickly. The taste of chuletón and Ávila beef is really rich and has a true "beef essence" that is unmatched! Having eaten many steaks including Kobe beef this is truly a unique experience. Opposite the castle entrance is this funky/retro cafe/bar. Decorated with collective objects from a colander as a lamp shade and singer sewing machine box painted. After translating my span/English I managed to order beer and wine and ham and mushroom toastie. The staff were so friendly and understanding. With a drink you get free tapa- ham or bread and jamon or spicy pork prosciutto.
